is it worth making into a class

Homebrew and House Rules

so i have an idea for a new base class that is similar to the scout base class but it wont be the same so im not going to just re work it.

one problem i am having is that i feel like the class should get the armor training feature of the fighter not including the final ability because i don't see these guys using anything bigger than medium armor.

so im wandering is it worth trying to make the class if it requires me to use a base feature of another class?

what i want to do is play a commando style character sort of special opps class that moves faster than the average character that has no penalty to using medium armor and can be sneaky.

Dark Archive

look at dread commando from 3.5 heroes of battle. it was a great prestige class that did just what you want. good BAB, sudden strike and what was basically armor mastery. it was 5 levels, and only had a good reflex save i think.

heres some of it http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20050407b&page=6
