Call me silly but is the Pathfinder Adventure Path d20 system diffrent than the one found here? http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ I have downloaded and ran the kobold king series and the system is nothing like the one found here http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ My PCs are using the http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ one and they just mowed right thru the NPCs with little problem. Am I missing something here?

Yes, there are things different. Any modules published before August 2009 were written using the D&D 3.5 rules, while anything published after that was written using Paizo's updated version of the rules, Pathfinder RPG.

The kobold king, while written by piazo is 3.5, not pathfinder. While pathfinder and 3.5 are similar the pathfinder classes are more powerful, and they make a 3.5 adventure easier than it should be. You will have to convert any 3.5 adventure to pathfinder rules to give a proper challenge.

Its also important to check things like the assumed point buy, number of PCs, etc.

If you're just wanting to run the Kobold King books in the system for which they're written, check out www.d20srd.org as it has information on d20 3.5e.

I like Pathfinder RPG system better, but if you're just trying to match up systems with the books, that may be more convenient for you.

Heh, these days I find it easier to "up convert" any 3.5e material, than to "down convert" my pathfinder thinking process.

Though I have been converting a campaign setting/adventure path to pathfinder as I go. After 50+ NPCs and Monsters being converted, it's getting kind of ingrained.
