Based on the information in the back of the book shouldn't the Ring of Feather Falling have a price of 8,000 instead of 2,200.
Use activated or continuous price is SL x CL x 2,000 with a note attached that says if the spell is measured in rounds to multiply the cost by 4. So 1st level spell, 1st level caster means that it would be 2,000 gp and then times that by 4 since the spell is measured in rounds.
Do I have that right? Is there a reason that RoFF is so cheap for what it does?

Lack of applicability. It turns a multiple target spell into a single target one, and a spell that just isn't useful that often at that. So it isn't like blink or displacement, both of which are insanely useful in combat.
Comes back to pricing being an art rather than a science. Few enough people buy a ring of feather fall even at that low price :)

I agree with you on all points in the above post. I was just working on something that was giving a FF effect, and saw the price that it ended up in comparison to what I remembered a RoFF to be. Figured I should post up to make sure I was reading it all correctly.

That and getting blown around the dungeon on a strong breeze is really annoying....

Btw this just so happens to be one of the rings that tends to be fairly common (1 out of 4 players)at our game tables. The instances of where a ring of featherfall may be used is few and far between but when you need it, you *really* need it!
Or you can just set yourself up for very cool effects if an acrobatic/climbing type character, such as dropping down from roof tops on to enemies. All sorts of creative possible uses that just scream fun!
