Anyone running Eberron with Pathfinder?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

As the title suggests, I'm interested if anyone is running Eberron with Pathfinder(r) and if they have made any changes/implemented any house rules?

Thanks!

Mike

We are running an artificer in our current campaign. The class had to be reworked a bit because of the changes to the crafting rules.

I've been running an eberron game since the pathfinder rules came out. The PCs are currently 6th level and its going pretty smoothly.

My eberron specific house rules are:

Changelings gain a +2 bonus to Charisma and Linguistics is always a class skill.
Kalashtar gain a +2 bonus to Wisdom.
Shifters no longer have a penalty to Intelligence so their racial stat modifiers are: +2 Dex & –2 Cha; and they gain
a +2 bonus to Acrobatics & Climb. Also their shifting duration and number of times per day has changed. Shifting now works similar to a Barbarian’s rage or a Bard’s bardic performance.
– Starting at 1st level, a shifter can shift for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can shift for 1 additional round. Additionally, every shifter feat a character takes adds 2 rounds to the number of rounds per day she can shift. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from shifting, raging and spells like bear’s endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds per day. Starting and ending shifting is a free action. The total number of rounds of shifting per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive
o Warforged gain an additional +2 bonus to any one ability score in addition to their listed racial stat modifiers. Also Warforged do not gain the Light Fortification ability.

I'm using the Artificier from Adamant's Tome of Secrets and the psionic playtest stuff from Dreamscarred.

I've also tweaked action points. I've got my own list of what they can be used for in addition to the book stuff and I've changed it so the PCs get so many per session instead of per level.

There should be a conversion of the Eberron races somewhere on the board. With those and the Artificer and psionics from the third-party books mentioned above, you should be able to do Eberron just fine.

Running a campaign now in Eberron + some spelljammer elements. My campaign blog can be found here.

Navigation on the right will take you to house rules in effect as well as rules updates for eberron material. The index with links can be found here.

Characters are at 6th-7th levels atm and playtesting my artificer class conversion with a crazy goblin character. We also have an Inquisitor that is also a House Deneith dragonmarked. Very fun to see the class in play!

Btw hats off to the OP for the Ardwright class conversion of the artificer! It was a great inspiration (among a few other paizo board memebers conversions) to my own musing of what direction to take with my artificer class conversion. I even borrowed the wonderful ardwright as an homage. Hope no one minds!

Cheers!

As an added note, I have been having a ball picking up all the old 3.5e Eberron game material at discounted and half-prices!

A lot of great material to be found out there. Secrets of Xend'rik has been invaluable for the first leg of our campaign - characters uncovered an ancient airship from ruins in xen'drik and have been scrambling to conduct repairs to make it airworthy and uncover its ancient secrets.

Not exactly running eberron, but i am playing a warforge paladin in the current pathfinder campaign setting out of numeria, as one of the starfallen.

There are many fan conversions over on the Conversions boards. A very good artificer conversion is on there too. They have posted it at the Pathfinder Database as the Ardwright. I tend to like it MUCH better than the Tome of Secrets version. The Pathfinder Database also has other resources tyou may find helpful, if not directly relevant. I find if you don't want to include standard psionics, they have a couple of Sorcerer bloodlines that can stand in for psionics.

For some of the Dreaming Dark stuff you may want to check out The Genius Guide to Dream Magic by OtherWorld Creations. I don't own it, but it is only $2.99 for the PDF. Look around the PDF store at Pathfinder compatible products & you may find other cheap PDFs that could help out.
