ok so i know that once a skill is a class skill it stays a class skill no matter how many times you multiclass but what i was wandering was do you need to put ranks in a skill to keep it a class skill or does it always count as a class skill and you can gain the class bonus to it any time.
for example i play a 1st level inquisitor and spellcraft is a class skill for them but i don't put any ranks in it i then multiclass into fighter and put one rank in it do i gain the class bonus to it for being a class skill?
basically what i am asking is do you need to put a rank in a skill to keep it a class skill when you multiclass or is a skill always a class skill for you.
If you have a skill listed as a class skill for one of your classes it's always a class skill. Until you take a rank in the skill however you won't get the class bonus. This rank doesn't have to be when you take a level in the class however it could have been taken before or after that point.
