Not sure if this has been asked before as I am new to Pathfinder

I seem to recall in Unearthed Arcane for 3.5 the Optional Class Defense Rules. I was curious if they would convert over roughly the same since a lot of my PC's, as well as players PC's, wish to forgo Armor for various reasons such as Concept.

Pathfinder is made backwards compatable with D&D, so it would be possible, however you may wish to give the heavy armor types an additional point of ac since PF raised medium and heavy armor ac by 1.

Fighters may need a tweaking since their armor mastery stuff would be useless. maybe give them a bonus on skills or something. the DR high level fighters get wearing armor would need a replacement. maybe just give it to them in general.
