When a monk is power attacking while flurrying- which BaB is he using to calculate his penalty and bonus? I assumed it would be his actual BaB- but in treanmonk's guide he uses the flurry's BaB- full. This doesn't seem overpowering in fact, if he does use his normal bab to calculate it...I want to like the monk, I really do, but it seems to get the crap end of the stick every time.

Reread the guide.. the Full BAB applies to Combat Maneuvers, such as Trip, Bull rush, etc. not attacks. And if you examine closely the Monk does not suck at all.... if you play him right. The Monk has always been a class for advanced players and this has not changed in Pathfinder.

You would use full BAB when flurrying. Since you use full BAB, you use your full BAB when determining which level of Power Attack you are using. Technically, you can also qualify for BAB prerequisite feats a bit early, but can only use them when you flurry.
Example: Crit Focus requires a BAB of +9. A monk doesn't gain this as his base BAB until level 12. However, when he flurries, his BAB is at +9 at monk level 9. If he wants, he can take Crit Focus at level 9, but can only use it while flurrying until level 12, when he can use it all the time.

the monk as full base attack bonus when flurry = to figther of same lvl, and is treated as TWF at 3rd lvl the monk uses his level in place of BAB when Calc CMB so makes the monk really nice during the flurry, Last attack use MONK LVL + STR +(feat bonus)= all CMB
the -2 to attack tho from flurry does apply to all cmb during the flurry tho.

Yes it is for advanced players- as even the most min-maxed monk isn't overpowered. So an optimizer can go to town (which is lots of fun.)
I've read the guide several times- I wasn't refering to Maneuver Training, I was refering to the fact that when a monk is flurrying, his bab is considered to be his monk level (minus two due to two weapon fighting).

the ability specifically states it can't be used for the purpose of qualifing for feats.
You don't qualify for it, though.
It's a grey area, but I think I'd let him go with the full benefit of his BAB, which includes MORE POWER attack.

Ah. Somehow missed that line. I don't play monks very often so I didn't have full grasp of the exact wording of their rules.

Not this again...
I repeat, you can substitute some combat maneuvers for attacks but you still get the cumulative -5 like all iterative attacks do. You don't get to transform your weakest attacks into full-BAB maneuvers.
Would you apply the same faulty reasoning if you read the following quote from FoB without having the attack values laid out for you?
QUOTE: For the purpose of these attacks, the monk's base attack bonus is equal to his monk level.
