Rules Questions

if i am playing a 8th level character who has 4 levels rogue and 4 levels ranger would my base attack be +7 or +7/+2.

i have been playing for about 10 years now and i feel stupid for not knowing this, i usually play full combat characters.

+7/+2

As soon as your BAB reaches +6 you get a second attack (+1). then again every +5 BAB - eg. +16/+11/+6/+1

also how do i go about adding up the saves, i feel stupid asking this considering how long i have been playing but to be honest i never multy class.

just add them together.

Ranger +4/+4/+1

Rogue +1/+4/+1

= +5/+8/+2

thank you very much again i feel stupid asking i should know this by now.

+7/ +2, your iterative attacks are based on your BAB. I can't find where it's spelled out in the rules but there are references to it. For example: "If you get more than one attack per round because your base attack bonus is high enough (see Base Attack Bonus in Classes), because you fight"

Strangely if you look under "Base Attack Bonuses" in the link there is no further information... but suffice to say +7/ +2.

Edit: Found it, page 11 under Base Attack Bonuses, the link in the PRD is broken.

nah, don't worry about it. happens to the best of us. :)
