I've recently become sick of the GitP forums, so excuse the following rant.
They scare me, to be frank. I got warned at one point for talking about WW I, because it's 'politics'. They permit NO objections to the rules, and you can really never make any true complaint without tempting their trigger-fingers. The moderators tend to enforce things with an iron grip, and there's really very little freedom. Rich Burlew's only posts are to announce a new comic.

I stick around because the community itself is fairly friendly, but I'm really reconsidering this. Any yes-men here*, please respond.

*Joking, of course.

~thinks~ So if we annoy and repress you then you would leave? ~looks around~ Can we start now?

Spoiler:
j/k.

I've noticed this as a pretty standard thread of progression in almost every comic or game forum I've ever visited. Just the nature of the beast, I suppose.

Not to be using an iron grip or anything, but threads talking about other forums on other forums never seem to end well, so I'm really, really tempted to close this thread.

Fair enough, Teter. Last thing I want is to start a flame war. I just wanted to rant.

I'm going over there and tell them you were over here talking s$&$.

Liberty's Edge

Just kidding, shoot!

I think this thread is a plot to get us to go over to the GitP forums and join. Thus, stealing business from the Paizo forums.

Kobold Cleaver is devilishly deceitful, I think.

I warned him...

Liberty's Edge

I stumbled across what had to be the meanest, angriest game forum board ever last night.

I got there via a
(If there's something you like a lot, like miniatures, Google "better than reaper miniatures. Lots of fun. Try "better than 4E" "better than WoW" and you'll see what I mean. Thanks, Lifehacker.com!
In one thread, one guy had copied and pasted examples of comments allegedly made by a game designer over an extended period of time that the poster believed proved that the designer was incompetent, arrogant, etc.

I'd never heard of that board before last night, and I will never go back. I'll certainly not mention it by name.

Sounds like an infamous troll of grandeur beefin' on former freelancing digs.....

Oh, no, not that one. I know the one you're talking about. That's a very well known forum.

The place I found last night makes that anti-KS thread sound like a love note.

*Taps through thread*

I love the smell of GitP in the morning, it smells like victory.
