what exactly are you looking for? i think all the info you need is at the beginning of the book, race, stats, class, i think if you look right before the race section it gives you every thing you need.
Page 15 for stats.
Page 20 for races.
Page 30 for universal abilities.
Page 140 for gear.
And the rest is under the relevent class descriptions.

They were somewhat remiss in the presentation of certain basic things. Classic oversight of veteran gamers who know all the rules. For instance, the only mention I can find of your starting hit points is under hit points on pg 12 in the 'Common Terms' section.
What you are looking for is on page 14 (very bottom), it isn't as clear or flashy as most core rules do it, but its there.
