looking for a group in the Albuquerque area- prefer pathfinder/3.5, but will play pretty much anything right now (except 4th edition).
fridays, saturdays and sundays all work great for me- available pretty much anytime on these days....
have no issues joining a current group (if you have a spot and a need for a player) or even getting a new group together- either works for me.
hmm; I dont think any of the 8 or 10 guys I know in town are running any pathfinder. The guys were playing a 3.5 game and some are playing some Demon; the Fallen game, and they were playing a Dragonlance game but think that might be defunct. My life has been a bit nuts; but we also do some Bloodbowl and the 40K space opera ship combat game; I forget its name offhand, oh; battlefleet gothic <you can get the rulebooks in pdf for free now :>
Did you go to Active Imagination in ABQ or to Inquisitive Coffee and Games in Rio Rancho (close to my house btw); you often find a game or posting on games in those places.
also; on these boards; Balfic or Lorm might be able to chime in, they know a lot about whats going on in the gaming circuit. I am still painting my Bloodbowl and Battle Fleet Gothic guys.
I am currently running to pbp games, but not currently running any games around the table. If I hear anything; will give you a post; do you have your own transportation?

i have not tried the Inquisitive nor AI. but with AI moving to damned near across the street from me in the near future, i might check them out a bit more often :)
and yes i have my own transportation- can host the gathering if needed as well. doesnt have to be Pathfinder (though i would prefer it). 3.5 would be just fine- no 4.0 please :). or maybe some other game system as well.
right now, would be great to play pretty much anything.........

is AI moving closer to campus? I was in ABQ last spring and almost got a group going from their bulletin board, but unfortunately I had to head out of state for work. I'd like to get back in the fall though. Good luck!

I'm hoping to be back in ABQ this summer. I know that doesn't do you much good now. Have you thought about Play-by-Post?
I heard it moved also; Balfic/Llevenoc and other alias' let me know, but I couldnt find it last time I looked; guess they are thereabouts where the old golds gym was/is; will look again when I get a chance though i live up in RR.
i have thought about PbP- but to me that kinda defeats one of the reasons i like gaming- face to face contact with other gamers. can never beat the comraderie that is often enjoyed in a real group. some of my oldest friends are due to gaming groups put together many, many years ago.....
and as for the current whereabouts of AI: yes, it is on the back side of the building (NW corner of the backside of the building). they have a small sign outside the door- walk inside those doors, follow the hallway to left, second "doorway" on the left side.
it is a pretty large sized building compared to what they have on Juan Tabo/Montogmery (which is still there- just used for CCGs and such now. the RPG and mini stuff has moved to the new location). the retail space is about the same size but they now have a kitchen (with custom menu) and THREE large halls for gaming.
They sell food; that is a plus; many a day we have spent many an hour around a table top game of fantasy or 40 k; or even Bloodbowl for that matter yearning for something tasty.
I too very much enjoy sitting around a table gaming; but without a group with a shedule that fits mine; pbp is about all I can do.
they sell burgers and fries and such fare. they even allow you to name the burger if you come up with something weird/cool/etc as a combination for it :)
i have a pretty open schedule- currently unemployed but going to school- so i have an open schedule from thursday evenings-sunday evening. and i waaaaayyy prefer gaming in a "real" group.
valegrim- i noticed on your bio that you say you work Quality for a "wafer manufacturing company". are we talking semiconductor manufacturing or the actual wafer manaufacturer. i was in the previous industry for 11 years- was laid off in 07. main reason i am now in school- need the paper to backup the hands-on knowledge i already have.
Epitaxial; so our company in AZ or in Japan grows the igots and cuts and polishes the wafers; we grow epi layers on wafers for various customer uses.

I'm about finished in Tucson so I plan on being back in ABQ by the end of May. I'll check in then and maybe we can get a group together. I've been doing some Pathfinder Society locally and that might be a way to grow the ranks in Albuquerque. Maybe AI would be interested in hosting.
