Master craftsman feat question

so what is the point of these feat if as a non-caster you don't know any of the spells so can't create half of any of the magic items out there?

You CAN create the items without meeting the spellcasting prequisites, its just a bit harder. See PF core rulebook pages 548-549 for details.

Essentially the DC increases by 5 for each prerequisite you don't meet. If you can't cast spells, you'll likely not meet two prerequisites (the caster level and the spell itself) so the DC would be 10 higher.
