Traps generally have high perception DCs, so that's probably why!

No cats were killed during the construction of this trap, or how trapsmiths use the resources at their disposal to the fullest

The Exchange Kobold Press

Kalridian, that is the most concise comment I have ever seen on these boards.

Names like that kinda makes one expect a different kind of "Trap".

Wow what a surprise. Product identity. Ok, moving on.

The Exchange Kobold Press

John, you know as well as I do that there is no obligation to make everything open. Your snark is noted, but totally unnecessary.

ADDED: These traps are free content on the web, accessible to everyone. An author who writes something cool and gives it away deserves praise, not snark.

Responding to your pm now Wolfgang.

Thank you, taking it to PM and appreciate the discussion.

I will say that I have enjoyed the inventiveness of Darkjoy's traps and the experiment he's currently doing.

This week we explore the fun that can be had with leeches.

The Exchange Kobold Press

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I grew up going to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area every summer, in northern Minnesota along the Canadian border. My sister and I would swim in some fairly chill lakes, we chased ducks, and paddled in canoes, sometimes all day.

Well, as it happens, cold waters are LEECH TERRITORY. As older brother, it was my duty to find leeches to terrify my sister with. They were not all that slimy, honestly, and they didn't hurt because of their amazing topical anesthetic saliva. My sister proved difficult to terrify with these things, though. She's a tough character.

Giant leeches and leech swarms have sort of delighted me ever since.

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

@ Wolfgang, yup, leeches are always fun, luckily we don't have them where I live.

This week we explore why adventurers deserve a hot meal and why monsters deserve shrapnel to the face

Waffle irons are indeed deadly.

And explosions are always entertaining (for the GM).
