Are there any GMs or players in the Houston, TX area willing to help setup some Pathfinder Society at Comicpalooza? If so, contact george.comits@yahoo.com and let him know that you're interested. I can provide you with whatever scenarios you may need.

This may be a dumb question, but is there some kind of website that has a comprehensive listing of conventions that might have gaming at them? I mean, I've known about OwlCon for a long time, and I know there's an annual Con at A&M, but I wouldn't have even thought to look at a Comic convention before I opened this thread yesterday.
I've done a little googling, but haven't found anything yet.

Okay, we found a third willing to GM.
I'm one of the other two, but own no scenarios. We've got:
01 - Silent Tide
02 - The Hydra's Fang Incident
15 - The Asmodeus Mirage
33 - Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible
planned.
As it's the last weekend for the two retiring scenarios, I was wondering if we could get a copy of 10, and I'd run that and something else.

I had just decided to kick start some PFS play in north dallas when I saw the nearby con in need I had to lend a hand. We have reorganized our PF judges and have a tentative schedule set up.
Friday:
Slot 1: PSS-01 Silent Tide
Slot 2: PSS-02 The Hydras Fang Incident, PSS-15 The Asmodious Mirage
Satuday:
Slot 3: PSS-01 Silent Tide, PSS-15 The Asmodious Mirage
Slot 4: PSS-02 The Hydras Fang Incident, TBD
Slot 5: PSS-33 Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible, TBD
Sunday
Slot 6: PSS-33 Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible
Slot 7: PSS-01 Silent Tide
As things stand right now we're looking at one table the whole con and two on saturday. Sign up on warhorn if your interested and we will work to get more if demand is there.

Matthew, much luck with your con. For posterity's sake, take some pics of the last PSS 15 table.
This may well be the last time that mod is played as an official part of PFS organized play.

Has anyone checked with the CLAG_Houston yahoogroup? I know there's quite a few of us that have been playing/running in the Houston/Pasadena area and didn't hear anything about PFC at Comicpalooza this weekend when we played.
If someone wants to send me more information at demoyn35@hotmail.com I'd be happy to consider an increased role and help facilitate the spread of information about PFC at the convention (most of us have heard very little of PFC involvement thus far).

The ones that I've attended in the past are Aggiecon (College Station - March), Protocon (College Station - September), Apollocon (Houston), Owlcon (Houston - February), and Millcon (Austin - November). There are also a few in San Antonio, Dallas, southern Oklahoma and western Louisiana that offer gaming, but I don't remember their names.

You've mentioned this group before. (Or somebody has) I know because I have searched for it before, but I don't find any such group when I do.
But, yeah. Until Josh made this post There was no PFS at the Con, it's all just come together rather last minute.
I'm gonna shoot you a copy of the email chain we've had going so you'll have as good an idea as the rest of us. ;-)

I'm the organizer for gaming at Comicpalooza. I'm strictly a volunteer, and while I apologize for the "late notice", I'm doing the best I can on no budget and without anything but a love of gaming to motivate me.
The PFS folks have really risen to the occasion, as has Joshua. I'm very impressed and frankly, feel like I can just sit back and support your efforts with a "yes, yes, okay, sure..." and applaud you.
We currently have several rooms in the Hilton Americas, so we don't compete with Con panels and such. I was told 8 months ago that there was no need for gaming at Comicpalooza. Then, they asked me to do a little RPGA [yes, those *other* guys], and then, suddenly, I was organizer and gamer-in-chief. I have a full time job, my own part time small business, plus I am very involved in the Greek Community, including teaching and chanting.
Long story short, it's gonna happen. Not because of me or because of advance notice, but because dedicated gamers are jumping aboard and stepping up to make a great offering there. Paizo is giving us great support too!

George, you are correct in expressing how awesome the enthusiastic players of Pathfinder are. Two of your GM's are people I know personally and that helped pull off an absolutely awesome display at this years' OwlCon. So I expect to get glowing reports of the overflow you have at Comicpalooza. With more lead time I am sure that next year will top this one. Good Luck!!

Well I just left the con and it was a resounding success. The last round is still playing and it looks like we tabled 18 tables spread over 7 slots (unofficial count). Also unofficial I believe we tabled more than 4e although they did have an interactive event. I was just a player myself and had a great time. Robert Love and a crew from Dallas and some support from Silverhair's clan brought it together for everyone DMing and supporting. I would like to thank Joshua for his support and say thanks personally as I was the winner for the auction of both the fully autographed Core book and Bestiary. The DM's also thank you for some swag support for those that DMed. You guys rock!

Yep, pretty great Con. Especially with the short notice.
A bit of a slow start with the first slot because of a late schedule change, but from the second slot on we definitely did not have a lack of players. I actually spent so much time in the game room I didn't get any of the other things done that I wanted to.
Thanks to everyone who played at my tables and to those I got to play with. (A lot of the same people actually.)
We've got a great stable of GMs here in Texas. Next years OwlCon and Comicpalooza are going to be GREAT!

It was indeed a marvelous Con ... great fun was had by all. I played every single slot, and was impressed with the dedication of the DMs to make certain that all of the slots were made, even though there was some (normal) confusion. The 4e D&D folks were even helpful with access to a printer so that the final Chronicles could be printed. I thought the autographed books were phenomenal, when my friend Harkelian showed them to me. Like several others, I too, didn't ever make it outside of the gaming room (and spent over 13 hours there on Saturday)!
Thanks to all, and we hope that next year's ComicPalooza will be even greater!

Please contact me if there are problems/discrepancies. Right now I know that I'm missing data for one table of Perils of the Pirate Path that ran on Sunday.
