Sirona and Widget take evasive action as they quickly make their way through the field. The smaller agile crafts continue to gain ground.

Four of the Imperial pilots skillfully steer their starfighters and fire on the two escaping ships. One of the others barely dodges oncoming asteroids and does everything he can just to avoid a lethal collision.

Each capital ship is pelted with streaks of laser fire again. Shields are now down to about 1/3 of their potential.
Stone - feel free to fire a shot. Ranged attack +2 for intuitive controls. Reflex 16.

The seconds count down as Stone runs to a gunners chair and blasts one of the ARC starships off course and into an asteroid!
Allerick's hands fly over the computer controls, trying to rob power from other systems to keep the shields up. If only the ship wasn't already damaged...
Sirona and Widget are hard pressed not only to dodge the asteroids at a high rate of speed but to juke and dive to avoid the lethal blasts from the Imperials.
The seconds count down.

Sirona and Widget their aerial acrobatics, taking evasive action as they continue their journey through the asteroid field. The smaller agile crafts continue to gain ground and spray death.

Three of the enemy pilots skillfully steer their starfighters and fire on the two escaping ships. One of the others makes a bold but fatal choice that ends in his utter destruction. And then there were three. They all elect to fire on the Bantha hoping their concentrated firepower can bring the ship down.

The Bantha is struck twice, taking the remaining shields to dangerously low levels.
Sirona informs you that they are now over half way to a location from which they can make a jump.
The seconds continue to count down.

Fire away Stone. If anyone else wants to do anything, jump right in.

Encouraged by his beginner's luck, Stone targets again...
To Hit 1d20+7
Stone sees one of the pilot's struggle to get around an incoming asteroid. As the enemy is focused on the immediate danger, the soldier swivels into position and lets loose with a barrage of fire. A direct hit! The cannon hits the starfighters shields and slams it into the very asteroid he was trying to dodge. The wreckage is carried away by the hurling rock.
And then there were two.
Only one gunner's chair on this ship.

Sirona and Widget continue their aerial evasion, weaving and dodging as they continue their journey through the asteroid field. The smaller agile crafts continue to press the capital ships.
Pilot 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Pilot 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Pilot 3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
All three of the enemy pilots skillfully steer their starfighters and fire on the Bantha.

The Bantha is struck once, and the shields begin to sputter off and on. Alarms begin to sound and control panels flash crimson letting you know something is dangerously wrong (like you didn't know!).
Crash begins spouting in binary. Sirona cuts him off and asks him to spit it out. "A Star Destroyer is on an intercept course outside the asteroid field!"
The seconds continue to count down.

Seeing the shields fail, Allerick leans out from under the console and begins furiously trying to re-raise shields!
Mechanices: 1d20+14
Allerick can get the SR up to 5, I think. Better than nothing!
Widget chitters in Sullastan and aids you in your efforts!
The alarms cease and the monitor shifts from red to amber. Better but not 100%.
Stone - feel free to fire away. 3 for 3?

Stone - feel free to fire away. 3 for 3?
Here's hoping! Before the Star Destroyer came into the picture, I was going to suggest we linger to make sure no one witnessed our rescue mission...
Shot on a third fighter. I'll go ahead and use a force point (2 of 6, 1d6 ⇒ 3). To Hit 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Stone, like a natural as a ship's gunner, blasts yet another enemy starfighter!
The last one, hoping to land the winning shot, maneuvers into position.
Pilot check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
He barely clears a large asteroid and fires!
Shot on Bantha: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
The shot goes wide!

Your ships clear the field and both alter their course opposite that of the Star Destroyer. The lone starfighter backs off and heads the opposite direction, not wanting to get caught in the cross-fire.
The large capital ship opens fire but they are just barely out of range.
Fingers fly as the navcomputers are updated.
As the ship gets in range and begins pelting the shields, the Banshee disappears into hyperspace but nothing happens when Widget tries to jump in the Bantha!
Allerick - I need a mechanics check when you go investigate. DC is high so think Force points. You can get + 4 from aid and tools.
Allerick Hosh
"No! No! NOOO! I FIXED this already! What in the name of a Rancor's poodoo is going on?!?" Allerick races back to the hyperdrive, moving quicker than his paunchy form has moved in a long time. Nevertheless, he actually looks...happy.
Mechanics! 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25 using tools plus 2/6 FP: 1d6 ⇒ 5 for a total of 30. Bring on the Aid!

One of the Bantha crew members meets Allerick in the engine room. You quickly narrow down the problem and realize one of the jury-rigged fixes you made was knocked loose during the frantic escape.
As you are finishing up, an injured Colvin arrives to help.
You then give the go ahead to jump. It seems like an eternity when the ship is rocked by something. You are all thrown to the ground. Coolant begins spraying from a stressed pipe coupling. Sparks arc all around you. The lights flicker off and then come on at a reduced level.
Did you make it to hyperdrive? Will the Star Destroyer end it all?
Kalderaan
Those still left on the Bantha are startled by a loud, screaming Sullastan on the intercom. He is saying something in Sullastan but for the life of you, you can't understand a word he is saying!
Colvin gets the leak under control quickly with some adhesive tape and some sticky goop. I'm sure it'll hold.
Allerick, Colvin - do you remain in the engine room?
Kalderaan
As you both enter the cockpit, unsure of what to expect, the mousy little alien jumps up shouting! He runs over and hugs you both and dances a little jig around you, encouraging you to join him.
You both let out a suppressed breath you didn't even realize you were holding as you see the familiar streaks of stars as seen through hyperspace.
Allerick Hosh
"Well. It's not like I was ever doubting my repairs, mind you. But still, it's nice to be appreciated. Now, if you'll both excuse me, I'll make certain we survive re-entry into realspace."
Allerick will head back into the engine room, waiting until he closes the door to let out a wild whoop. Even genius needs a little celebration once in a while.
Kalderaan
Allerick enlists Colvin, IG-MDz, and some of the crew to make some more permanent repairs to the jury-rigged patches that were made in haste. Deserved haste but haste none-the-less.
As you come out of hyperspace, you see the Banshee nearby.
Sirona calls over and greets you enthusiastically.
Alistair and Kess join in the greeting, letting you know they are grateful you are still alive.
The pilots then calculate a few more jumps to throw off any pursuit and eventually meet up with the Resurgence.
Those in need of medical attention are escorted to the medical bay.
The Bantha (seriously, who would name their ship that?) had limped in to the docking bay - just barely.
Widget meets up with you later and thanks you immensely for saving him and the rest of the crew. He informs you that the Senator has provided a new mission for him and that the Bantha is yours if you want it. It is going to need a ton of repairs to make it worthy again but she's a good ship.
IG-MDz
"Well, I am certain he will take great delight in simply pondering the possibilities," Alistair remarks with a chuckle.
"Perhaps sedatives should be close at hand when he actually starts implementing them."
"My prosessor suggests caff or stims would serve better. He seems to suffer from hyper-activity and an attetion disorder, sedatives might serve to make him more agitated while stimulants would serve to focus him."
Alistair Cray
"You are the doctor here Zedd," Alistair concedes with a smile. "Now, if you will excuse me, there is something that I should attend to."
Taking his leave of the others, the Jedi starts looking for Kess, making his way to her quarters first. With nothing else to require his attention and with his wounds all but healed, he finds himself both curious and concerned about what the other Jedi wanted to talk about.
IG-MDz
"Yes, of course Alistair." Zedd says inclining his head to the departing jedi. "Perhaps you would accompany me to the quartermaster Stone? We have requistitioned several items they might be willing to trade for the neccesary parts Allerick might require for his upgrades." suggests Zedd, turning to Stone.
IG-MDz
"No, we were unable to save Jade. I'm sorry. He was taken by a gargantuan crystaline spider." Zedd began, "We got attacked by an elite squad of stormtroopers as we headed into the cavern, we defeated them. Maybee you would like to look at what we retrieved off them?" he offers.
"After that we had to retreat with the ships as the cavern became unstable. We got out with the information needed and now the Bantha is ours."
Kalderaan
"Yep. Alright IG, I will find you all later afer I speak with her".
Colvin avoids going to the bacta tanks just yet and seeks out Sirona on the Resurgence.
You search the ship high and low. Finally you backtrack to the Banshee and Crash informs you that she is over on the Bantha. You find her there, in Jade's personal cabin, going through his things. You can tell she is distraught. She acknowledges your entry but offers no banter or small talk.
