Ink Cloud (Ex) A sharktopus can emit a 40-foot-radius sphere of ink once per minute as a free action. The ink provides total concealment in water, and persists for 1 minute.

Poison (Ex) Bite—injury; save Fort DC 26; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d6 Str; cure 2 saves.

Rend Ship (Ex) As a full-round action, a sharktopus can attempt to use four of its tentacles to grapple a ship of its size or smaller. It makes a CMB check opposed by the ship's captain's Profession (sailor) check, but the sharktopus gets a cumulative + bonus on the check for each size category smaller than Colossal the ship is. If the sharktopus grapples the ship, it holds the ship motionless; it can attack targets anywhere on or within the ship with its tentacles, but can only attack foes on deck with its free arms and it’s bite. Each round it maintains its hold on the ship, it automatically inflicts bite damage on the ship's hull.

Tenacious Grapple (Ex) A sharktopus does not gain the grappled condition if it grapples a foe with its bite or tentacles

As feared as the Kraken (perhaps more–so for its ability to come onto land), the Sharktopus is a colossally horrific abomination whose origins are somewhat of a mystery. Many oceanic scholars speculate that the first several Sharktopus were originally the result of a magical cross–breeding experiment conducted by an epic (and quite mad) sahuagin magic user. Unfortunately for it’s creator (as well as all sahuagin), Sharktopus are little more than colossal eating machines of the sea and only the most powerful of sahuagin priests proved to be able to command (let along control) the massive tentacled horrors. Thankfully Sharktopus have an extraordinarily low birth rate and it is perhaps this alone which keeps coastal towns and cities safe from the ravages of this aquatic behemoth.

Liberty's Edge

This is just after a quick glance at your monster:

I'd make this guy a Magical Beast due to the fast healing and frightful presence and especially if any of the origin fluff is true.

Frightful presence should have a DC of 10+1/2HD+CHA modifier so, as is, the DC should be a paltry 15 Will. I guess that's better than not having a frightful presence at all but, at level 16, not many PCs are going to be scared of this thing. Maybe boost its CHA a little?

Your attacks may be off. Bite is a primary attack so tentacles should be a secondary attack at -5. Multiattack helps make this +25 Bite/+23 Tentacle.

Overall, I like it and he's got a fun name.

RPG Superstar 2012

I don't have anything to add to Velcro Zipper's suggestions. This a cool monster, and I love the illustration.

Were you watching Craig Ferguson last night? I find it uncanny to see a statblock on this when the creature was brought up in his opening monologue.

There was an article on the Sharktopus (movie!) on io9.com a few days back.
