Well, if you crotch-punch in real life, I know someone who'd like to meet you at next year's PaizoCon. :D

Yes. Sharoth again. How'd you guess?

On the upside, the ER room had a TV in it and I was able to watch the Brady Bunch Movie....as if I weren't in enough pain already. :SJust read this. Yikes. I guess you didn't have a good weekend. :)

Aww, thanks! :D

Heh. I made up a meaning for it and responded. Then she was all like, What the hell!?

Man, I feel the need to let some LOATHING out on someone...
Self Loathing I think.

I'm WAY too lovable to loathe. Especially, what with my intelligence and good taste and all. Nah, definitely have externally oriented loathing that needs to go somewhere. A gift to the world, if you will.
So what the hell is going on with Solnes? She went to the emergency room? Today? How did I miss this? (Dammit, I knew this loathing was distracting me!)

I shall.
And...how many years of marriage did it take you to figure the other thing out?
Well, it probably takes a bit more for me than it does for the average bear to get me to say that. Oops, that was totally accidental. Still, I will leave it.

The Thing from Beyond the Edge |

The drive with my daughter was really cool, even though she got tired and mad at me the first night of our trip. We actually spent a lot of time talking about random stuff, and she hardly listened to her iPod on the trip.
My mom, unfortunately, has kinda decided to stop eating. She looks like she's lost 30 pounds since the last time we saw her. When I mentioned seeing her in 3 weeks, her response was "Good luck." She says she's in pain constantly, so I think she's just ready to have it be over. Still, she has lived this out for a lot longer than I thought she would at the outset, and she got to spend a lot of time with her grandchildren during that time.
So, yeah, overall the weekend was a mixed bag.
I'm glad that you got to visit her again and hope you can add a few more to it. Good that you could spend time with your daughter and that she could with your Mom. I have no memories of my grandparents.
Best wishes.

From reading through the thread, it looks like Paris did not have a good weekend, since he was working again. I also noticed the trolls were have a troll party this weekend. Must have been fun. <eye roll>
Perhaps they contained quotes from posts that were deleted. That may get one deleted even if it contains nothing bad itself.
Edit: glad you are feeling better than before.

Its the kind of sick that will pass and is a side effect of a greater issue. A good issue!

In the last 6 months I have had some issues with my stomach. I will wake up in the middle of the night with horrible pains in my back and upper stomach. I tried Gas X, Mylanta, Pepcid, and Zyantac. Nothing helped more than once. So finally last night I went in to the ER cause it was really bad. (it happens every couple weeks or so)
So they did a few tests, ruled a couple things out, and made me watch the Brady Movie. :(

I always feel fine the next day. Other than being sleepy from lack of sleep I am good. And hubby has babied me all day. All I have done is cook dinner and nap. Which is why I should be doing this paper instead of chatting with you all. :)

Thanks. When my mom's parents passed away, I was 11 and 14. No one spoke about their deaths, and I was not allowed to go to the funeral. I didn't want to do that to my children.

I hadn't connected your back complaints with your stomach complaints.
You've got a lot of stress, don't you? Have ulcers been ruled out? Also, let me know if you want what I'm convinced saved me from finding out I had ulcers.

I sure hope it will pass. And yes, a much greater, totally awesome issue.
But remember, I can neither confirm nor deny. Not officially, not yet.

They didn't rule out ulcers. In fact I was told to find a good family doc and have that checked out. And I was put on a diet, no greasy, fatty, or spicy foods and no alcohol.
The back pain mirrors the stomach pain. In the upper back between my shoulder blades. And sure...what was it?

Have her try some Coke in the morn. Helped me.

Mairkurion {tm} |

And sure...what was it?
I started drinking carbonated water all the time. Club Soda, Seltzer, mineral water, Perrier, any sparkling water you can name. Cheap can or bottled low sodium club soda or seltzer, especially. And a lot of places you that have a soda fountain where you wouldn't think you could get a mineral water, you can get carbonated water if you ask. At first, I added this to the antacids and other stuff like you were taking. It got better, and I completely stopped taking the stuff I'd been taking for most of a semester. It's never come back. Although, now I'm addicted to sparkling water, but I'd rather have that than ulcers.

The Thing from Beyond the Edge |

Good times are coming up!
My brother will be returning from sea duty on the Eisenhower on the 28th.
My oldest sister and his husband will meet up with him and ride up on the carrier from Jacksonville or Daytona and stay out that week. The middle of my two sisters also lives in Virginia Beach with her family.
My youngest sister (still older than me) will come up on the 27th and bring along her two sons, my Mom, and my neice (the daughter of my oldest sister). They will all be staying with me in my two bedroom and one bathroom apartment. :P
The sleeping arrangements will be like this:
Master Bedroom: my sister and my Mom will use my bed
Computer Room/Office (converted second bedroom): my neice will sleep on an air mattress
Living Room: My two nephews and myself will sleep on the couch (pull-out bed), in the recliner, and on an air mattress.
:D Yeah for sleeping arrangements!
The week will consist of hitting the beach a time or two. I might treat my family to Water CountryUSA for a day. But, that could take one heck of a chunk out of my wallet. Might have to do it anyway. Plus, we will get to spend time with my brother now that he has come back to shore for a little while. He left January 2nd.
This will be the first time that all of my Mother's children that she gave birth to will be together at the same time since my father's funeral. She had my brother in the USN and my two older sisters with her first husband who died in a work accident and then had the youngest of my sisters and myself after marrying my father. My father had one son from his first marriage before marrying my Mom.
That makes me the youngest of six at 39 and soon to be 40. My brother from the USN is fifteen years older with my oldest brother being 21 years older. My parents were born in '31 and '29 and were each the youngest of seven. So, that puts all my grandparents as being born before 1900. Old family, I guess. :)
