Well, I can only say you were wrong about my intention, so perhaps something good came out of it: I was wrong; You were wrong -- so you can keep your congratulations. You were not only wrong about my intentions, but the assumption I was referring to involved little blue gnomes, not the ignore feature. You can ask for an ignore feature all you want, it's no skin off my nose. You may unfortunately have the same success that I have when asking for debate threads about controversial, non-gaming issues be given a separate forum in O-T. (I still ask for it, ever once in a while, even though we've been told it's not happening.) Perhaps now my recent posts in that thread will make more sense to you. If a shutdown occurred, I daresay it was because you invited me to dissertate about the subject of smnrfs in a thread that I first did not do so in, because I assumed the people there really did not want to discuss them. By drawing me in, we both discovered that people wanted to discuss smnrfs. Apparently they wanted to discuss them at the moment more than they wanted to discuss 'Ignore.' Messageboards are a fickle force. I note again my disagreement with your characterization of 'thread-crapping.'
You may well be wrong about others' intentions as well, but I can't speak for them.
