You are right, meds are a LAST option. And I know that for Lyn and I ... they were our last option. And I know for a fact that it was just as hard for her and her husband as it was for us. We shared that in experience together and have been each others sounding boards.

Hey its ok, are you talking about the Mona? I haven't been following to too closely.

Spoiler:

I think it was a reference to Carniverous Bean who gave some criticism to the effect that child neglect was occurring...
That is my guess.

Sorry Eric, I didn't want to mention his name for fear that Moorluck would reach through my monitor and kill me in a blind rage. :S

Glad to hear your wife is home, though. :D

Thanks. I'll be happy when this day is over.

Tomorrow I get to help out my daughter for her school event, so I am looking forward to that.

more stupid work stuff...

We go through a lot of batteries in my shop at work. Mostly D cell and some AA size lithium batteries. In fact, we go through hundreds of them. We might go through 40 D batteries and 200 or more AA size batteries in a week. Also, there are many other shops who each go through scores of batteries.

So, we have to properly dispose of them all and take them to a central location where a couple of techs see to it that the batteries are delivered (by the hundreds if not thousands) to the disposal facility.

But, it seems that one day one of the workers at the disposal facility got shocked and it was blamed on the batteries in the barrel.

Now, we are required to place our used batteries in plastic ziploc bags and zip them closed. Place them in there INDIVIDUALLY. One battery per bag. And we do it by the hundreds. We can't even put them in the boxes that they came in instead. So, it is afe for hundreds of fully charged batteries in their boxes to be handled but it is not safe for hundreds of discharged batteries in their boxes to be handled.

One ziploc bag, one D battery. By the hundreds. One ziploc bag, one AA battery, by the hundreds every week. That is labor cost and your tax dollars at work.

That's demented. Our city's recycling program requires us to put batteries in clear plastic bags, but there's no limit to how many batteries can be put in the bag. That at least makes sense. The sheer wastefulness of that boggles the mind.

Yep, and that is not the worst of it but I will not go intoall that now.

Well, signing out for a while.

how is it thingie

It was indeed a reference to CB.... but we are past that now.

Took our neglected kids to walk the mall tonight. Got them each a Orange Julius, A chocolate covered pretzel, dinner at the food court and let them peek out candy that may find its way into their Easter baskets. I managed to sweet talk the hubby into a pound of mixed Jelly Belly jelly beans. Dinner was Smitty's, and was soooo good. All the kids were very well behaved. Untill it was time to go home and they didn't want to touch one another....at all.....4 inches apart was not far enough. I remember yelling at my mom that my brother was touching me during car rides......now I know how she felt. ;)

Woodraven wrote:

Not too bad this evening. In 19 hours I will be home from work tomorrow. :) But, in 15 hours I will be at work missing UK's opening basketball game in the SEC tournament. :(

Glad it went well for you. Your dinner sounds better than hospital food, he he.

Smitty Burgers are awesome! I had fish sandwich though. Trying to lose weight. Hence the Jelly Beans instead of the chocolate. ;)

Trying to decide on which CD to play.

Gorillaz: Self Titled
Alice in Chains: Greatest Hits
They Might Be Giants: Flood

Decisions, decisions!

Edit: Yeah, I know... kinda all over the place.
