Hi there, you knowleadgeable folks!
Do PF elves sleep or not? 3.5 elves did their freaky reverie thing rather than sleeping, but what about PFRPG?
The Races Chapter talks about immunity to magical sleep, but does not imply not needing natural sleep. However, the nightmare spell specifies Creatures who don't sleep (such as elves, but not half-elves) or dream are immune to this spell and AFAIK that is the only mention of this fact in the book.
It is clear, but hidden in very very obscure place.

Per Page 5 of elves of Golarion:
"Instead, though they do not fall unconscious the way other humanoids
do, elves may enter a deep trance that has the same refreshing effect on the mind as human sleep. An elf only needs to meditate in this fashion for 4 hours per day, though some prefer longer periods."

Sigh! Why is it in "Elves of Golarion" and not in the Core Rulebook?
Maybe the omission is unintentional.
So the answer is, elves meditate on fey sheep; thank you for playing.
LOL! :D
Great name, Tancred.
Thanks!

Elves of Golarion was 3.5, though, so the no sleeping clause was based on 3.5's explicit elves don't sleep rule. I'm not entirely sure if we can consider that a definitive statement on the matter.
Hey this is something very basic on one of the most popular core classes: so we need a definitive statement here!
I'll start a bump festival here! :P :p
