It would be nice to have a bbcode tag that would create a link the PRD for the monster name.
Example:
[monster]Black Pudding[/monster]
would be replaced by:
The link above is to the monster by the same name in the official PRD on this site.
The possible values would be on this page: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/monsterIndex.html
[monster]Bear, Dire[/monster]
and
[monster]Dire Bear[/monster]
could be syntactically identical.

Would the [url=][/url] code not serve the same purpose?
Yeah, but then you have to have the url on hand, and that requires a new window or tab, and there's no easy link from any page to the prd, so you can't just click a link. You have to type it in or go to your bookmarks or go to the Pathfinder RPG page and then the resources page. I want Vica and Gary and Ross to make their fancy "servers" to all the "work" for me since I'm "lazy."

Hey, I was just going to post that they should NOT do this,
the #1 goal is getting search working, and focus on that until it's done :-)
But i hadn't heard of this positional linking thing, so I thought i'd try some things.
If after the 'url=' part you drop the http:www.crap.crap stuff, and just put 'url=/...' you can just reference the part of the paizo site you want, for example: 'url=/prd' results in:this... which is signifigantly shorter. And you can of course do '/prd/monsters/animatedObject.html' for this. That works even though /prd is actually a 'shortcut' to /pathfinderRPG/prd.
