Gen Con is cool and all, what about Origins?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Just wondering if you'd be making an appearance at Columbus this summer. I tend to attend Origins as opposed to Gencon. The crowds are less obnoxious and I don't have to pay for a hotel. ;p

What's pathetic is that I live out here and have yet to attend one.

The Pathfinder Society will have a presence, but Paizo won't have a booth.

Doug Doug from the messageboards along with other volunteers will run Pathfinder Society at the show (as Vic mentioned) but there will be no one from Paizo attending this year.

Origins just isn't big enough for Paizo to pack up the booth and ship all that product out there, not to mention the cost of sending all the staff and such. We just don't make enough money to come even close to covering our costs. Which is sad, because I attended 15 straight years of Origins before I decided to pull the plug for cost reasons. As Josh and Vic said, we will have Pathfinder Society there, but no official booth presence. Sorry!

Liberty's Edge

Origins is the only Con I ever attended. I was able to go to one back in the 90's in Philadelphia when I worked with a game company. It was a cool experience.

Now, more than a decade later, I'm going to my second Con this summer ... PaizoCon!!!

It's not my fault that you already have me pre-ordering everything on subscription :P

Jon Brazer Enterprises

Just want to say that I signed the deal this morning that Jon Brazer Enterprises will be releasing Book of Beasts: Monsters of the River Nations at Origins.

EDIT: I should add that the BoB: MotRN is written by Steven Helt of Pathfinder Society Scenario #10: Blood at Dralkard Manor fame. The man has done an excellent job of writing new, highly imaginative monsters.

I'll be sure to keep an eye open for it.
