Hiya.
I was wondering if there was (or if it's planned for) any "2D tokens" to represent monsters, NPC's, etc. for PF? I did a search, and did find an archived post about the idea...but nothing since (it was in the "Pre-release Ideas").
Honestly, where I live there is NO means of simply going downtown and buying miniatures. And the weight cost of shipping a metal based miniature 2,300km is..."a bit expensive" (honestly; the closest game store that sells miniatures for what I need is in Calgary, AB...or, 2283km away according to GoogleEarth).
So...paper mini's or tokens would be just what the doctor ordered. I'm thinking 'tokens' like the 'tokens' they use in the example combat pics in the PF rule book (ex: pg192, 194, 196, etc.). Anyone? Anyone have anything similar they can point me to that I can download and print off or something?

Have you considered Pathfinder Paper Minis? It sounds like they would do just what you're looking for.

We need tokens / paper minis for all the monsters in the Pathfinder Bestiary. The current selection of paper minis is very limited, with some of the minis being adventure-specific, meaning not really helpful for general use.

We play using MapTool over the Internet (MapTool is a free virtual tabletop application written in Java, so it runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac).
I've made a bunch of my own tokens from the art in the Paizo AP we're currently playing (Crimson Throne) but there is a LOT of fan-created art that is very high quality. In fact, the RPTools forum has an area for User Creations that is filled with artwork! (We're proud to have Jonathon Roberts amongst our users! And GamerPrinter, and RPTroll, and others from the CampaignCartographer's Guild.)
