SPECIAL ABILITIES
Blink (Su) As a free action, a blink monkey may use blink as the spell (caster level 8th).
Blink Throw (Su) Any object the blink monkey throws will ignore armor 50% of the time, unless the armor prevents attacks from ethereal creatures, in which case the object will ignore armor 20% of the time.
Disease (Ex) Blink fever: Bite or thrown object—injury; save Fort DC 13; onset 1d3 days; frequency 1/day; effect 1d3 Con damage and the victim must make a Will saving throw (DC 13) under the first stressful situation of the day (such as combat)—failing the save results in 1d6 rounds of uncontrollable blinking for the victim, who benefits from the blink spell but can only hit his opponents 50% of the time; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution-based.
The blink monkey is slightly larger than a normal monkey but is otherwise indistinguishable in appearance from its cousins. Their origin is unknown—some claim they were created in Hermea, while others whisper of a far-off nation known as the Ghost Hound Kinships—but whatever the case, like most experimental lab monkeys, one escaped to spread chaos and disease throughout the Inner Sea region. Blink monkeys which breed with normal monkeys produce blink monkey offspring 25% of the time.
The blink monkey is normally docile, but anyone who threatens the creature’s territory and ignores its warning shrieks finds himself the target of thrown feces or vicious bites.
