Check out the "Voluntary Reject Bin" thread. Clark posts about halfway down, and while he doesn't come right out and say what it is, he mentions that one of the voluntary rejects fits the "popular item" trend. Narrows it down to about a dozen options.

I am pretty sure he was only saying that both the actual submissions and the reject items have themes. I.e. the rejects had a few puzzle boxes in them. I don't think he was trying to imply that the reject items properly modeled the submissions.
