Pretty good, I struck ToTP gold! ;)

I don't know how Heathy does it to be honest.

And now that I scored the top one more time on our dying thread, I'm off to bed, to rest my head.

Going to bed soon too. I am getting a cold...hubby being slightly unsympathetic...says when I actually have the cold he will be more caring. :S
Think I will just curl up...alone...and get my own meds and drinks to make my throat feel better. :P

I recommend Hot tea, almost boiling if you can stand it.

Evening to all.

Long day.

Fortunately (since I was unprepared) I didn't have to run. We spent time at the FLGS waiting for one of our players to get off from working there.

While waiting I fed the whole store with chili (with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream to add as desired) and cornbread and crackers. Later at the house of one of the players we ate all night and almost finished the chili off.

Then we went and played a PFRPG variant where we made 10th level characters and then the DM added the paragon template from the epic handbook with only a couple of watering downs: Fast Healing 20 became Fast Healing 10 and we did not get the skill bonus to intelligence based skills but still received the bonus to other skills. It turned out to be an effective ECL boost of about +20. Fun game.

Well, good night.

Sounds like Thing had a good time. How is everyone else this Sunday morn?

Morning all. Hope everyone is doing well this fine Sunday.

Pretty well on this end, still trying to get used to seeing a diferent rabbit in Fin's house though. :/

How's the Curtin clan doing today?

Whalp, the day is sunny, which is good, because I gotta go get another week's worth of wood from the pile. Bunch of different chores to do today, dump, laundry, the usual honeydo list.

I got most of my honey-do done. I do need to rehang the bedroom door today, don't ask, We got to run down and pick up some movies to send to Flash, and get my shotgun. And the dump, AGAIN... shocking how much trash having kids generates ain't it? :P

The Exchange

I think it's time to go and fix some breakfast for the kids... maybe some Freaky Fruits.

Oh yah, I try to recycle as much as I can, but there's still quite a bit, especially with a 16-year-old daughter who is still in diapers sigh.

Now they are talking about charging us by the bag at the dump. How's that hope & change working out?

Do WHAT! By the bag? That is fncked up. I just hope to have some change left when these yahoos are done with us.

Yeah, a lot of towns here already do it. It's supposedly to 'promote recycling', but we all know the real reason: Increased revenues for the town. The towns around here are where everyone else will be in about 2-3 years: Flat broke and slashing services/increasing fees.

Edit: Oh yah, and you have to buy the 'special' bags from the town. No other trash can be tossed unless it's in one of 'their' bags.

It's the down side to this belief that goverment, big and small, should be run like a business, with the residents as the customers. Complete BS..... maybe it's time for a President Moorluck? ;)

And with that pleasant thought I am off to the races. See y'all in the PM...

*blink*

I'd vote for ya! :P

I wouldn't mind govt being run as a business, rather than a union....

Do you live in an area where you can just burn it in a bin? It's what we used to do out on the farm.

I recycle. And that's cool. Some places also encourage you to have a compost pile, but I won't since I have no need for compost.

My parents recycle and compost. Of course, they take the compost stuff and use it to fertilize their gardens and such. And since they're in Louisiana, my dad can grow stuff almost year round.

Reanimating the corpses of your slain foes to act as servents doesn't count as recycling.

I am having visions of seeing that plastered on public announcment posters all around Thay. :)

Good morning!

We're getting ready to drive to Boone, NC to see my son perform in the All-District band at Appalachian State. I'll be back this evening.

I hope you all have a quiet, relaxing day.

I love Boone! BTW I finally looked at those monsters you sent the wife, they look good to me, I'm not real good with crunch though, but I really like the Trappers Bane. :)

Thanks, Moorluck!

Urizen helped with the crunch, actually, which makes me realize I didn't send you the updated version. I just changed it to a template, so it can applied to an animal, which makes a lot more sense. The fluff stayed the same, though. :)

I'm crossing my fingers for a Monday Monster appearance tomorrow.

Now I'm out.

BAMF!

Well, looks like I got a repreive from the dump :) Wife needs to fetch a birthday present for her mom, and needs me to babysit. So me and Ally will chill out, and I will restart my fire, as the Arctic air seems to be seeping back in (brr).

@Aberzombie: I run a nice composting process, but I have a lot of gardens. Do you have any grass at your house? Compost is like fillet mignon to the stuff.

I recycle everything I can, because it is the right thing to do. I can't burn trash, that ain't gonna happen. I can't even burn wood scraps or leaves, only brush, and that only if I get permission from Jan thru May.

I hate the new 'green bags' initiative, because even though I recycle concientiously, and have for years, the switch in payment method from a flat fee to a pay as you go system will cost me dear. And all those scumbags who don't care will just take their trash and dump it in the woods to avoid paying. It's already starting to happen.

I swear, has anyone in the government ever heard of the Law of Unintended Consequences?

One of the worst things that can be done to encorage recycling is to charge people to recycle. It makes NO sense at all. Is WoTC running your town? ;)

Well, Hasbro is only one state away, so perhaps they are behind the government here ....

Looks around in a paranoid fashion

Inigo Montoya: That Vizzini, he can *fuss*.

Fezzik: Fuss, fuss... I think he like to scream at *us*.
Inigo Montoya: Probably he means no *harm*.
Fezzik: He's really very short on *charm*.
Inigo Montoya: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: Enough of that.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?
Vizzini: DYEEAAHHHHHH.

Just dropping in from Cincy to say ...'WAZZZZZZZUPPPP!' Need to forage for food here. Necromanting leftover pizza FTW.

Happy Sunday! I hear you guys on the new taxes/fees sitch. Got my house assessment on Friday. Value dropped 15%. (On top of previous drops.) Which will mean lower taxes for the city, and a resultant reduction in services. *sigh* Michigan is dying.

Morning, Fawtlies.

Scarab Sages

Yeehaw! Did a quick sketch of my kitchen/dining area today, and we're going to go to Home Depot and (hopefully) start the process for getting the kitchen redone. My main goals are:

-new sink
-dishwasher
-new and added cabinents.
-new counter tops.

Hopefully, the cost won't be to prohibitive. Anyway, catch you folks later.

And the Snow Demon Zombie arrives. Just in time for MI to get 6-8" of the stuff tonite. *sigh*

Have fun, AZ.

E7, I guess this isn't the time to tell you I'm praying for snow Monday night into Tuesday, huh? Today, we have wet, drippy rain, instead of happy fluffy snow.

Maybe you'll share some with us this time. You guys got a foot of snow last time and we didn't get squat.

I demand a resnow!

post hole

EDIT: With the snow starting at midnight it'll be a crap shoot to see what gets closed in the morning. So I'll have to get up and crank up the snowblower at 7 am just to bother the kids who'll likely be off school. :)

Plus, I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. My boss was on vaca and I took Thursday off 'cause of the stomach bug. She'll be a bear about that. And Friday I find that my asst hasn't done dbase updates in 2 weeks 'cause she's so 'busy'. With annual reviews coming up it is not a good time at work. Time to start being a hard ass.

Ugh. Sorry to hear about the work, E7. To paraphrase Ferris Bueller:

"Your job is a piece of sh**. Don't worry about it. I don't even have a piece of sh**. I have to envy yours."

I hear ya.

Sad thing is that it's a piece of sh** everywhere ya go. The economy, credit world, taxes, everything. No escape for us except Paizo! :)

We had a flashback at the game last night...

Dr Demento's Always the First to Die

That song is awesome from way back. :)

But, my character did die last night. :(

LOL, D&D became real popular during the late Seventies, when folks were looking for any escape from the dreariness of the economic situation. Perhaps there is a silver lining in all of this bad economic news for Paizo? Who knows?

Of course there weren't fifty gazillion computer games to play back then either ...

True, but that was when Atari put out the old console boxes, like breakout, and of course the 2600, he he.
