Indeed - especially when most of the good folks down here don't know how to drive on the stuff, or go crazy when a few flakes start to fall.
I can't drive on it either, but I readily admit it and just try to stay off the road if I can ;P

yeah try driving in the stuff with a large portion of the population thinks they can drive in it with their 4wheel drives. one thing they forget is that it helps you start but counts for nothing trying to stop.

Ayup.
Those of us who live in snowier climes know that 4WD is handy for clearing snowbanks and getting "unstuck", but once you're actually moving you're better off in a front-wheel drive car (or, ideally, all-wheel drive).

{waves back} N FL is supposed to get snow tonight, I think. Right now, all we get where I'm at is a very cold rain. Plus more overnight frost warnings in inland FL for the next weekish.
They were saying local tomato farmers have already lost 45%-50% of their crops, and imagine other crops are suffering similar losses. :(

So now our accountant is in town. She is eyes and ears for teh big money bags boss. Man I am glad I bought that new shirt and Jacket for tonight!
Thanks for the offer, but she likes me. I just want to look and be at my best. So I am in a new shirt with my new jacket and I am wearing new perfume. I have also done my make up and blow dried my hair. Which I usually dont mess with. So now all I need is hubby to get home so I can get to work. :D

I am so excited. He seriously won't expect this. We had talked about just gettng a new one and I had agreed, but for me to go out and get t on my own and have it here when he gets home with his card on top is the surprise. :)

OK, tonight. Good. I wondered if it was going to spoil the surprise if he read about it on the boards two days before Valentine's Day. :)

Than I figured I would hit the boards and brag before he could. ;)

The day from hell continues. Kid got in trouble at school today. Almost got sent home at lunchtime, but had to spend the day in the office instead since we weren't in a position to go and get him then. I'm just wondering now what's next. :(
Every time I feel that way I take a DEEP breath and realize it coudl in fact be much worse.

Oh it can always be worse. I'm just not dealing with the assorted crises as well as I normally would because I feel like I'm gonna vomit. But as my mom always said, you can stand anything for a little while. It'll be okay eventually. But right now the occasional venting is helping me not completely blow up.

Yeah, right. Get gussied up that purty and expect the hubby to let you out the door without ravaging you? You might be a little late for the accountant. ;)
