So I've been sworn off buying any RPG books since July and I swung back by Paizo to see what was up with the PFRPG and ordered myself a copy for the holidays (yay to treating myself).
Long story short, I've been reading the boards and getting more and more anxious to receive my copy. I finally broke down and got the freebies and read the PRD . . .
I haven't been this happy to spend 50 bucks in a LONG time.
Paizo has me excited to play again and, believe me, that's saying a lot.
A million 'thank you's to the staff at Paizo for the fine, fine work on the PFRPG.
Now if you could just figure out that whole "needing magic items" thing . . .
;)

Yeah, Pathfinder brought me back into the RPG fold again after a 4 year break. They really are an amazing group of people that make an amazing interpretation of the world's most popular roleplaying game, as well as being one of the most customer oriented companies I've ever seen.

I've been excited since I received Burnt Offerings. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. I figured, what they hell, atleast they're offering something for my remaining subscription instead of cut and running. I was hooked just a few pages in.

I agree Pale. When I got my copy of Pathfinder I realized rather quickly I hadn't been this excited about a game since 3e came out in 2000. It made me excited about roleplaying again.
It took me about a year before I would even give 3rd edition a chance. I heard they were getting rid of Thac0 and just went mad grognard.
Then I played it and realized I was being stupid.

I had not played in a couple of years and decided to start a group. We played up to about 4th level or so and Rise of the Runelords started realeasing. We dropped our Forgotten Realms campaign and jumped right into RotR. Since then I have been running Crimson Throne, was running Second Darkness but the group had some interpersonal issues (getting ready to pick it up again); am playing in Legacy of Fire and loving it... And we have plans to do Council of Thieves when Crimson Throne is done...
GIVE ME MORE CANDY.
