Are there any plans to make versions of the bard and ranger classes that don't have spells? Maybe a web enhancement or something with abilities and bonuses to replace their spellcasting with? I would really like to give my players the option of creating rangers and bards that don't have to have spells at higher levels.

While I would be in favor of spell-less Rangers (and Paladins) I think Bards would suffer pretty significantly from losing their spells. I believe the spell-less Ranger and Paladin variants were in Unearthed Arcana. They shouldn't be to hard to convert, but I doubt a spell-less Bard would work without some major enhancements. People already complain that the Bard is a weak class (I disagree, but no one seems to care), taking away spells would probably require full BAB and d10 HD to make them work. Hmmm...maybe.

...aaaaand which you can find here.... oh and did I mention the creator Mark Radle asked me to update that very same one with info that did not make it into said awesome Kobold Quarterly issue? Hmmmm? No? Well I just did :)
Recommendation #1: Subscribe to Kobold Quarterly now. Do it, I'll wait.
....
Get going, I'm watching you.
Ok, good.
...
Recommendation #2: Thank Marc for the awesome class!

            Hey, thanks everyone!
I actually have a Cleric article submitted right now that I'm very proud of. It's not an actual full class variant but a different take on a specific aspect of the class ...
I have a number of other ideas rolling around in my head which will turn into actual articles soon as well ... :)
As for my Spell-less Ranger, I'm really glad so many people dig it! At some point, I think the Animal Companion / Ranger Tracking sheet that I did to accomany the article (which is included as a bonus in the PDF of the mag) will be up on the KQ site.

I did get Wolfgangs approval to post those pages on d20pfsrd.com also but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. If any d20pfsrd.com collaborators are listening and you have Kobold Quarterly #11 feel free to post those pages. If no one else gets to it before me I will try to remember to do it tonight.
Edit: Oh and Marc, don't forget you are welcome to become a collaborator on the site and post your creations and/or make corrections to things we post. Just sayin... :)

I liked it, it fills the roll of a scout or a beast master depending what talents/feats you take.

Thanks, that spell-less ranger is really good, just what I was looking for. Now that Kobold Quarterly includes articles about the final version of Pathfinder I think I may have to get myself a subscription. I think a spell-less bard would work, just replace the spells with new abilities tied to the bard's performance. I haven't seen this Marshal class, but extra buffs, debuffs, and abilities would be good substitutes for spells.

The tracking sheets for favored enemies, favored terrains, and animal companions have been uploaded and are available for download here (bottom of page).
Thanks again Marc and Wolfgang!
Wow - your layout tweaks look great ... very clean and user friendly! Great job!

I'm looking for a spell-less bard class. I was thinking something about "Seeker of the Song" but need some rearrangements to fit on the pathfinder bard's system.
I was thinking some thing like when ever you gain a new spell level you gain "extra performance" instead.
when ever you are perfonming you gain some extra buff like Rapture of the Song (Su) of the "seeker of the song" (with some extra buff and a mayor improved level-rate rearrangments)
the capacity of use two song at the same time spending 1 round extra every 2 rounds for the extra song, let say you use 2 song the firts one you must to spend 1 round per round you are performing the second efect must spend 1 round per 2 round you are perfoming so you spen 3 rounds per 2 rouds you are playing the 2 song (or something like that)
Gain new and stronger song wich give you some convined effect or give you the refrain ability (again like the "Seeker of the song")
That my idea.
What you think about that? I know there are some balance problems but it can be worked from here dont you think?
