When a Paladin summons his mount (usually a Horse or Pony), is it just me, or is the first thing he's going to have to do is spend weeks training it for combat so it isn't docile?
Bonded mounts have an intelligence of at least 6. They do not need to learn tricks like normal animals.

Ah... Does it say that somewhere? Or is it just logic? With an Intelligence of 6, hopefully it wouldn't need to be trained at all.
Still, my Ranger will have some training ahead of him when he hits Level 4 (was thinking of summoning a Horse).

The Handle Animal skill for teaching tricks itself is only intended to be used with animals (other creatures possibly as well) that have an Intelligence of 1 or 2. It goes into detail on this in the Handle Animal skill. The ranger's horse will need to learn Tricks, the paladin's horse will not.
