Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I just started using the pathfinder series and I like it. but I have one confused question. what does the MM stand for when it refers to a monster? I know it's not the monster manual cause I've already checked. thanks.

Usually it does mean MM, so I guess I'd need a little more information. Where do the initials appear? In the stat block, or in text? If it's an older adventure, it might be referencing a monster book other than the Pathfinder Bestiary.

Legacy of Fire part 2

Rock Python CR5
Giant constrictor snake (MM 280)
hp 63

that's not the monster manual

It's in my 3.5e Monster Manual, bottom of pg 280 "Constrictor Snake, Giant". Which one are you looking in?

Note that the Legacy of Fire modules are not a Pathfinder RPG product--the line was written for D&D 3.5 since PRPG was not out yet. Thus if you are looking in the PF Bestiary, you won't find this (the constrictor is on page 255 in the PF Bestiary, and you'd need to apply to the Giant template on page 295).

The snake is at page 282 giant constrictor snake 3.5 MM

Thank you! I've been hitting refresh on this page for the last eight years, and finally my question is answered! Now I can get on with my life!
