I would love to play in this campaign... but am I too late? Are the slots filled? It looks like 3 people have responded already.
Well, assuming there's still an opening, here's one kind of character I'd like to play: a refugee from Galt who suffers delusions of being a nobleman. In fact, his "noble blood" is greatly diluted, and his distant noble relatives in the River Kingdoms couldn't care less about him. Rescued from revolutionaries and forced to flee southwards, my PC was shocked to be refused admittance to Andoran. He turned instead to Taldor, where he figures his noble blood will meet greater respect. (He may be in for a rude awakening...)
But I don't know. Assuming your campaign takes place just a little north of Oppara, perhaps you'll feel that Galt is a little too distant. In that case, maybe I could play a Kelishite? Like a wandering Qadiran... mercenary? merchant?... who's down on his luck.
As for class, I'd be open to playing a fighter, cleric, or sorcerer. (I'd mention "barbarian," but that wouldn't fit my character ideas above.) Assuming that vagrant-poet plays a "fighter type," it looks like you have all your iconics filled, so I don't know what class would best suit your needs. Ordinarily, I would think that a party can't have too many "fighter types," but a quick glance at your PBP implies to me that your campaigns are not very combat-heavy. Technically, you don't have a sorcerer, but you DO have a wizard, which is close.
What do you think, robin? Might there be a slot open for me, and if so, which of my character ideas would most suit you?
The new PCs should be first level, right?

In case you do decide to welcome me, I read up on the last three pages of the Play-by-Post, And I'm totally willing to work for Estorian.
From what I can gather, Guy Humual is going to play Adjunta Paul, cleric of Abadar, Wellard is playing a rogue he'd wanted to use in SD, and Me'Mori an Abjurer or Transmuter.
I'd again happily round that out to the aforementioned iconic group with a fighter, or if allowed, an APG cavalier, the character will likely be similar, a warrior with social skills.
2nd level yes? Ability score point buy? How much gold? [That is if you want me, I can spin up a character nice and quick!]

Vagrant , sorry for the delay . I wanted to check the cavalier and I 'm sorry to say that I have serious reservations about it .
So no cavalier but you are welcome to play anything else.
Heaven's agent , you are of course welcome .
Aaron welcome also but there is a little problem with your background . the revolution in Galt was 40 years ago ... and don't worry about fights. the first scenario was indeed not oriented combat wise but this should change ... . there will often be some fights you should not
begin but otherwise some you won't be able to escape ...

I've a Taldan paladin of Shelyn I created for another game which, unfortunately, can't be continued at this time. I've grown rather fond of the character concept, and would be interested in making some adjustments and playing him here. If you'd allow it. I also have a tiefling bard that I'd like to play, also from another now-dead PbP, if it would be a better fit; the paladin is really designed for an urban-style game.
I'll need to do some more research on the region to situate my character appropriately, of course; the other games placed them in Magnimar and Cheliax, respectively. Do you have any information for the adventure's background or setting, other than area, that you can share without spoiling things? I like to tailor my characters to an adventure as best as I can.

Well... sort of. (The true nobles are long gone, but the Revolutionary Council continues, as do their executions. That's why I threw in the "delusional" part.)
But forget it. You're the GM, so it's your world. I'll scrap that idea and go with my second choice: A Qadiran. Since it looks like you will have a fighter and a cleric, I'll make my character a Sorcerer.
Here's my second attempt at creating a PC: Hasim Bin Omar Min Katheer comes from a family which, though it never subscribed to any formal religion, always had a strong belief in kismet - the Kelish word for destiny. I'll take the "Destined" bloodline. Hasim, in his attempts to make it as a merchant, found that he could fast-talk others into buying his wares. Unfortunately, others could take similar advantage of him. (low Wisdom score and no ranks in Sense Motive) He bought a deed to land in Taldor, traveled there, and discovered that not only was the deed a fake, but the rightful owners were a family with a strong tradition of hatred of Qadirans, dating back to an invasion 600 years previous. Barely getting away with his life, Hasim now wanders this strange land, wondering how he can find employment in a place so hostile to his kind. He can only wait and see what kismet has in store for him.
... and don't worry about fights. the first scenario was indeed not oriented combat wise but this should change ... . there will often be some fights you should not
begin but otherwise some you won't be able to escape ...
So I'll take spells like Sleep and Mage Armor.
I put my ability scores here. If you again feel that I'm taking the wrong approach, please let me know, so I can scrap what I did and start again. (Or, if you feel you have enough players already, let me know if I'm out.)
PLEASE answer these important questions:
1) Are we creating first or second level characters?
2) If it's second, what's the starting wealth?

Sorry about this :
20 point buy
First level
Yes Sorcerer would work
Vagrant , nope for the alternate but if I might make a suggestion : Take a level of aristocrat to begin with . It will have nearly the same result and you'll have money at the beginning ...
Ba'andu , for the moment , we seem to be full .

Aaron Bitman |

Hey, Vagrant-Poet. That's a nice background story for your character. Did you have my character in mind when you wrote it? If not, that's a heck of a coincidence.
Anyhoo, I worked some more on my character. I'm just here to roll up my starting wealth...
2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
...multiply that by 10 and now I'm off to spend it.

VAgrant stats ok .
The average starting money for a fighter is 175 gp though

Aaron: two things
Taldane language is in fact the common tongue . so you miss one language
I think you forgot that as human you have either one more skill point or one hp by level

Aaron: two things
Sorry, but both your comments puzzle me. Could you explain, please?
Taldane language is in fact the common tongue . so you miss one language
So I get Taldane automatically, plus one for my Int modifier, so for my second language I took Kelish. Why should I miss one language?
Or maybe you mean that I should get one more language besides Taldane AND Kelish, since Taldane is Common and I get Kelish automatically just for being from Osirion? (If so, great! I never realized languages worked that way.)
I think you forgot that as human you have either one more skill point or one hp by level
...which is why I spent four skill points. Two for being a 1st-level Sorcerer, one for Int bonus, and one for being human. Where is my mistake?
(I'll confess, I didn't know that rule that a human can have an extra hp per level instead of an extra skill point. I can't seem to find that rule. Where is it?)

Aaron Bitman |

Common is free . A person of Orion get Osiriani free , one of Qadira get kelish free
When you take a level in your favored class , you either get +1 skill point or 1 hp (your choice at each level)
Ah, now I get it. Thank you for catching that! (This is the first Pathfinder RPG character I've created in my life. I'm mostly used to 3.0.)
Okay, I'll take the Spellcraft skill. As for language, I don't know what alternate language would most likely be useful in Taldor, but Qadira, I would imagine, must have a lot of gnolls. So I'll take Gnoll.

Malgasir :
Paladin LG ??? There must be a mistake there ...
Also while the beginning of your background is interesting , the end is strange . We are playing in Taldor which is a long long way from Varisia. also remember that Taldor is quite belligerent towards elves .

Maybe I have some rethinking to do, LOL. It sounds like this would not be a good fit. I will think of something else. Oh, and the background was for a different character. I haven't had the chance to change it.
