Wild Enchant for armor

Rules Questions

Just a quick question regarding the Wild enchant on armor, does the armor bonus also apply all of the armor's negatives - such as if i wore dragonscale fullplate armor , would I have a max dex bonus of +3 and be restricted to the 20ft movement from heavy armor? Or does it just meld to my body and I just receive the benefits?

Thanks in advance guys :)

I feel dumb, meant to post this in the general section for pathfinder RPG... could a mod move this?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'd say the armour remains fully functional, with all drawbacks.

Ah TYVM Kae!

So how do you handle it when a creatures base movement you turn into is 60 and you are wearing fullplate? does it go down to 50 or all the way down to 20?

Off the top of my head, I think it'd drop to 40'. I believe the formula is essentially 2/3's of your normal speed, rounded to the nearest 5'.

Wild: The wearer of a suit of armor or a shield with this ability preserves his armor bonus (and any enhancement bonus) while in a wild shape. Armor and shields with this ability usually appear to be covered in leaf patterns. While the wearer is in a wild shape, the armor cannot be seen.

From the wording of the enchantment, I would argue that RAW the penalties do not apply. It specifically says what you get: the armor bonus, and enhancement bonus. To me that implies that you would have normal movement speed.

I would have to definitely agree that penalties do not apply. Considering that the enhancement bonus is a +3, it's way too expensive to have those kinds of drawbacks, especially when you consider that a good portion of the time, you're better off in a non-wildshaped form than a wildshaped form for combat purposes.

I do hope you have your armor proficiencies in order, however. Druids don't normally have heavy armor proficiency.
