As purely OOC knowledge, the group you are affiliating with, in addition to picking a name for themsleves also picks a sort of insignia/uniform. This likely includes massk of some kind. You'll have input on this as well, though there are defaults if you all choose not to care. So this kind of gets covered.
Besides, it is highly doubtful these Hellknights would recognize Blackjack, if that's what you're going for.

I'm liking the discussion about tactics, but I think we're kind of going in circles a bit. Here is my understanding of what you want to try to do.
Use Janiven's plan, then jump out from hiding either under or around the bridge. Savidus try to hold their attention, while the others attack from the sides/rear. This is probably enough of a plan for now. As we all know, plans are only good till the first low roll anyway... Then it's just chaos. :)

I managed to get little icons for everyone on the map for the ambush. I also cropped it down a bit and zoomed in a bit to make it easier to see. If anyone has a problem with where they are placed, let me know where you wanna be. I'll move you. Unfortunetly I haven't figured out how to make/alter the map from home, and I can't post it to google docs from work, so I'll be sending it back and forth to make updates. So bear with me please. I'll post it up tonight.

How can you not pull it up? It's a jpeg so you should be able to view it with anything. The only problem I can see is maybe if you don't have a google docs account but that's easy to fix. Let me know exactly what problem you're having.

I've been reading through the Core Book on a few interesting subjects, and I found a few things we may have discussed that never stuck in my head until now. Or perhaps you didn't know had been changed.
- Armor Check Penalty for Swimming is not x2
- If a spell whose quick description says something to the effect (1d6 Ability Penalty) This spell can NOT reduce the Ability below 0. In fact, even if you could reduce an Ability Score to or below 0, unless it is Constitution. It will not kill the person. Ability Penalty is automatically naturally gained back at 1 point per day.
That being said, I have not been able to locate a Spell in the Core Book that does not say "Penalty". And while Bestow Curse's quick description does not say penalty, the description does state (Minimum 1). Which is a Level 3 Cleric - Level 4 Sor/Wiz Spell. In other words I have not been able to locate a spell the players can cast that does Ability Damage that can kill a creature.
- On the same subject a "Wounding" Weapon no longer does CON damage. It no gives Bleed Damage, which stacks with itself causing more and more bleed damage.
- And the last thing I found I already used, mostly because I wanted to make certain I was using the right skill. Disable Device is the new "Pick Lock"
Any who... this'll probably not go through so I'mma save it and attempt again, later.

As for the things you mentioned.
-I had already noticed that the AC penalty ofr swimming wasn't doubled. I only found this out recently, but I don't think it'd ever come up before. I don't think most of our SD characters even have a AC penalty.
- I think I had also figured out the lack of ability damage to 0 spells. I think this is awesome. I hated the ability to do that before.
-I didn't know that about Wounding. I think that's a much better way to run that as well. Still nasty, without being crazy.
-And yes, Pick locks did get rolled into disable device, which makes sense to me.

Stupid Question but I gotta ask. At level 4, when I get my extra stat point, and raise Dex to 17, I'll still be able to grab

Unfortunately I recently became aware that it states in the rules for Rogue Talents, "A rogue cannot select an individual talent more than once." Which means you can only take one Combat Trick. So only one fighter feat. It really does make more sense that way.

I dunno, I can think of plenty of things to post. Primarily I was looking for people's reactions to being hailed as heroes. It'd be interesting to see how Nesswen responds to strangers crowding around her and touching her. Does she respond in kind? Does she try to fade into the background and not get noticed? Does she Cheer and shout right alongside them? Is she impatient at all the celebration and want to skip right to what's next?
This is a great opportunity to see a bit of her personality. Just like the breakfast scene was.

Sorry, sorry... I just can't think of anything Nesswen would be doing. I want to work on her Goals. Which is getting revenge against her previous master. I liked the idea of entering that yearly tournament where a slave could enter and by winning the tournament claim freedom from slavery. But, she already has her freedom, so long as she's not caught.

I think it's directed at Savidus actually. Of corse, he just thinks Nesswen is making things over-complicated. I mean really... what's there to it. If everyone's saying stay out of the shadows, then spend a night walking around in the dark and see what happens. Seems pretty simple to him. :)
Lets not forget, I believe she does have the highest INT in the group.
BTW, does the Cheliax Book have a map of Westcrown, or where ever it is we are?
