Liberty's Edge

Hey Paizo people!

As I just received my replacment copy of the Core rulebook, I have one copy I could give away for free, but don't know if I am allowed to.
If so (hoping for a offical statement here), I have a corebook with some double pages, and some missing pages (mostly about water rules, and environment). If I am allowed and someone is interested...

I life in Germany, so sending it to the Us wouldn't make sense because of shipping costs... but Europe...

Tom, that is a G-R-E-A-T gesture.

Oh, well - actually it has been Ogre's idea in the chatroom. I never thought someone might want to have such a book, but he told me I should try it!

Hi Dryder.

If you are really wanting to go through with this, I would be very interested in that book. I am interested in the Pathfinder RPG (owing a second hand copy of the Beta), but right now can't afford the real thing (neither the original nor the german translation), as I have to keep my money tight to pay for a course that is supposed to prepare me for my exam. ("juristisches Repetitorium")...

So if you are looking for a good home for your "special copy" of the game, I could certainly offer it that new place to live ;)

So I guess you live in Germany?!

I just wanna weigh in on this a bit...
the mis-print to someone for free, is AWESOME. It's a really cool thing to do for our fellow gamers. :)

The only caveat I have with this is that we send out replacements so that misprinted books are more or less thrown away, or at least taken out of circulation. It looks bad, you know what I mean?

So, we are OK with you sending the book to Cut, so long as everyone understands that this is not an accurate representation of Paizo, and Paizo products. We have a legacy and a standard of quality to look after.

One more thing:

Cut, remember that you can pick up a PDF of the full book for only $9.99. So if you want to have something to compare your misprint to, the PDF is intentionally set to a manageable price for everyone.

Thanks,
cos

Yes I do. Actually quite nearby ;)

@Cosmo:

Do not worry. I do own Paizo products and am very much satisfied with them. I have the two Osirion adventures "Entomed with the Pharaohs" and "The Pact Stone Pyramid" for example. And a second hand PFRPG beta.

I am aware of the PDF release, but I am more a book guy. Like to be able to hold the real thing in my hands. While PDFs come in handy during advwentures (maps etc.) or these kind of things, I still value the classical book more.

I thought that Dryder's idea was a very nice gesture and one that would allow me to experience the final version of PFRPG, so to keep up to speed with the new game. I have thought about getting myself a german rulebook someday (exampreparation leads to an exam fianally... ;) ) but the english original, with some misprinted sheets would keep me in the loop for know.

So, if you're cool with it at Paizo, I'd like to make arrangements with Dryder, if that is okay with him as well, of course :)

Well, so first come - first served!
You can eMail me your adress to dryder@t-online.de

The book is better in your hands, than that it rots away on my shelf! :)

Nice ideal man.

Thank you very much. I'll mail you shortly!

The book arrived just now and I am impressed.

Thank you Dryder, for giving me the opportunity to keep in touch with the PFRPG right now. That was a very generous gesture!

And a word to Paizo: That book is a blast :)
Thanks for being cool with Dryder giving me the misprint.

Signing off for now, reading a bit. ;)

Liberty's Edge

Its great that that book has found a place!
I hope you have fun with it - and from a players point of view, the missing pages don't really matter!
Have fun reading.

I already have :)
