Follow up question:
When you use your versatile performance in lieu of a skill, are you actually performing? For example, when I use Perform (sing) instead of Sense Motive, am I actually singing at a person?
I can't say anything official, but I would say no. A Bard that is highly skilled in Singing utilizes their knowledge of voice modulation to pick up on the subtle changes in a person's voice. Generally, Sense Motive doesn't take any action anyway, it is a response mechanism. On the other hand, with Diplomacy, it probably wouldn't actually mean the bard is singing at a person, but their voice might sound more lyrical than a normal person...
So to sum up, in my opinion the Versatile Performance ability doesn't alter how the skills are used, but would probably alter some of the more subtle flavor.

If i have skill focus, it counts on the requirment for the prestige class or not ?
I think all, prestige classes are looking for number of ranks, not a total skill in a skill for prerequisites. So a high stat, feat, trait, race or masterwork item bonus, will not let you qualify earlier.
