Awaken spell

Awaken gives a target animal +2HD.
Are these HD before or after gaining the new Int?
In otherwords are those 2HD of the Magical Beast (augumented animal) type or can they take them as class levels, with the sudden boost in intelligence allowing them to reprocess their memories and thus gain more knowledge from them (Most likely Barbarian, Bard - birds/wolves, Druid, Fighter (if they hung around fighters pre-awaken) Ranger, Rogue (again if they hung around rogues pre-awaken) and Sorceror).

Since it says "+2HD" and not "+2 Class Levels", it's easy to say that you simply add 2 racial HD to the creature, and then recalculate all his skill points due to his augmented Intelligence (remember that in PRPG, Intelligence increases give skill points retroactively, see page 555 under Permanent Bonuses).
