Just got back from seeing Avatar. Awesome visuals and not nearly as preachy as I had expected it to be. Plot was a little simple, think Dances with Wolves meets Apocalypse Now.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'll be taking my kids to see it this weekend. My wife may skip it.

One word of warning. The Nav'i females spend most of the move in a state of dress that is best described as it's almost not naked. All the important parts are covered but just barely. You may want to take that into consideration.

My youngest is 13, so I suspect I won't have any worries on that front. Thanks for the warning, though. :)

Works for me. ;)

As long as the violence isn't too graphic, I'm not bothered by a little skin. But thanks for the heads up. :)

Now this is just me and it maybe because I am an old Grognard but I hate INk on women. It is like putting grafitti on a work of art. Guys I don't care. Women I just love you they way you are. Funny thing is though most of the types of women I like have tats. Cant win for loosing I guess.
Depends on the tat. I loathe the stereotypical rose on the breast tat, for instance. But I appreciate those tramp stamps. It's like BULLSEYE. :P

I love ink on women. I think tattoos can enhance beauty, and I do thumb through the occasional tattoo mag.

Between Avatar and Boondock Saints2, it looks like a pretty good time to go to the movies.

Hmmmm... a D20 there? I am talking to her on the phone and she loves it! :D
Most excellent! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
Between that and my (soon to be gotten) Paizo Golem tat, we are screaming our gamer affiliations.

That..is...AWESOME!!!!

Thank you. I have been wanting it for months now and as soon as we get the $$$ it's so mine. :D

2D. 3D costs extra at my local theaters and I barely had the money scraped together for 2D.

Understandable. I'll probably hold out for 3D on the IMAX if the woman is willing. I get paid a day early this week (thank you Xmas!) and maybe I can make it an event the following week.

I wish I had seen 300 as 3D (did see that on an IMAX). That would have ruled. :D

For those of you that can afford to do so (as I know a lot of us are experiencing unemployment due to the woes of the economy - it's an issue here in my happy home too), if you're interested in seeing a Pathfinderized version of d20 Modern / Future and would want to be in a patronage project, take a look here.

So, that means if you're a dragon and you relish expanding your hoard, you have no excuse but to make your voices heard. :P

And now we return to our regular activities.

Thanks for the info!

Need PS3 post. :/

Just saw a preview for the Karate Kid remake. Actually looks good. Jackie Chan is Miyagi and Will Smith's son plays the Daniel trope. But they're basing it in China. Out 06/11/2010.

Jackie Chan. Awesome.

My guess is that they'll probably work the humor a little more.

That's the impression I got. It's brought up to present day references with regard to pop culture.

Jackie even has a thin little moustache. :-<D

My latest crazy conversion. Tell me what you think.

I can't get youtube trailers (youtube banned in China). I found this.

It's very China. The bad martial arts guys here are usually Tae Kwon Do, though. Kung Fu is pretty laid back... speaking from experience.

As much as I like Solo, the advantage in that show down goes to Magnum.

Spoiler:
It's the 'stache dude. :P

If Solo had the 'stache, he would be unstoppable.

HA!!! Lord of the Rings A-Team!!!! Man, I need my wife home.

the 'stache didn't work for Lando. :P

Looks like the patient wants to watch a movie. She wants to watch The Proposal, but I still haven't seen Inglorious Basterds, G.I.Joe, Wolverine, or Angel & Demons. Let's see who wins.

See you SoFaWTLers later.

Vader: Luke, I am your father.

Luke: No! No! Noooooooooo!

Vader: I know... I wish it wasn't true either, I mean c'mon, why couldn't Han be my son?

Luke: Wai... Wha?

In the alcohol I tend to go to the hard stuff, favorite rum.
Here you go woodraven. BEST. RUM. EVA!
I am going to see if I can get my hands on some of that here in the states. A bottle of the OP variety could last for a while (must try). If I can't get it here, I am definitely going to visitand going to bring plenty of coin to try it out.

See if you can pick up some Distiller's #3. It's not on their site for some reason, but it is triple distilled and smooth as a baby's bottom...

Pretty good. Today was my last day at work for the week. My wife has to work tomorrow, so I'll be taking the kids to Wendy's to meet up with a friend of ours and then to the comic book store. Plus, we have to pick up a Honey Baked Ham. Y'know, exciting stuff.

How are you and your family doing?
