I did send you an email with some info I thought you might like.

Unless your name is Facebook or Kaplin test prep, I didn't get it.

Time to rock this Monday.

Good Luck Pat.

Sorry to hear about the girl. It is such a waste. Hopefully she will be able to make the changes needed before its too late. You can only do oh so much for those that don't want your help. You are good to try.

Meh. We thought there was potential, and by offering her a safe haven and support she could rise above the milleu she had been raised in.

Really sorry to hear that Pat. Such a waste of a young life. We lost my wife's cousin earlier this year to an overdose. He was only 27.

Patrick:
Very sorry to hear how things have gone with your foster daughter.

Solnes:
Maybe CH will be back around today. Perhaps he just needed a break and hasn't been back to see the messages we left for him.

Good morning all. The coffee is a brewin' the family is up, and I'm trying to remember what I need to get done today to be ready for the final I'm giving. The good news is, gradebook updated!

Do you know how irritating it is to read a dozen pages that say nothing but "Mine!" when you get up in the morning?

Not yours, Mine!

Heathy's?

Yesterday evening.

My staff's Boss got laid on Sunday night and so was in a reasonably good mood this morning even though he had to work 6am-3pm on his day off...

Morning Flash! Sorry to hear about the working on day off thing, my wife is facing an unexpected five-hour shift today.

Rant follows:

Anyway, off to try and find a job again today. Wish me luck

Sorry to hear about the foster daughter issue. I'm glad you called her on it though. Stick to your standards, as uncomfortable it can be. I know my MICA training sticks a knife in my heart at times.

Good luck on the job front.

Considering the exchange we had a few days ago I can't say I'm surprised.

Damn. I do hope he comes back. The holidays bring out the best and worst in all of us.

Has anyone else noticed that some threads grow faster after they turn into flame wars? That particular thread gained more posts in one day after it became a flame war then it did in four days as a semi-civil discusssion.

I must be failing an intelligence roll due to morning modifier. What's so bad about that exchange?

You might not want to do that this morning...I'm having terrible sinus/allergy issues...

Considering some of the folks who hang out around here, that kind of flaming battle is, unfortunately, inevitable. I already flagged one post on that thread because I thought it violated some of Paizo's rules.

Maybe Vomit Guy should make an appearance....

Yep, I noticed.

Nothing, but it did indicate the kind of mood he was in at the time.

I sent CH a message on FB and aske him to come back. I hope he knows that we are all frineds HERE even when we disagree.

He should be singing seasonal music, that's got to be in his what, top five of job description?

Maur, Heathy, Moorluck, Taig, I just sent you a message on FB. I want you to read it and tell me if you agree or not.

Many of the posts there are prime examples of "my mind is made up, don't confuse me with facts."

Maybe we're all getting old.

{EDIT} Growing up sucks, but I got the top of the page!

So tired. Somehow I'm supposed to go to the grocery store and shop even though I can barely put a sentence together. Why oh why of all the mornings to try this ever did the kidlet decide to get up an hour early today? He usually sleeps late. :/

Maybe he's practicing getting up early for Xmas?

Thanks David. Even though I can't get on FB at work, messages do get forwarded to my email, so I saw it.

What tends to get me worked up is the collateral damage effect of the flamewars. Person X who takes position A presents it badly or generally craps on those who disagree. Person Y who disagrees with position A paints all people who agree with position A with the same brush because of what Person X said. What person X said isn't okay, but that doesn't make it open season on anyone who has a similar position to person X just by association, and person Y is every bit as much of a troll for responding in kind.

Sorry about all the X/Y/A stuff - I know the mods get worked up when we talk about specific members of the community.

Basically, it gets my blood pressure up, and makes me wonder why I'm bothering posting at all. Let's face it - none of the important issues of our day will be resolved in internet messageboards.

But I slept on it, and realized that I've been around here longer than the people who are bothering me and I'm not going to let them scare me off. I don't want to give up this place and leave it to the trolls.

P.S. Solnes - you are a wonderful. I'm not mad at you at all; I know you were just frustrated. It happens to all of us at some point or other, and it happened to come as I was feeling unusually thin-skinned. You're still A-OK in my book :) Not to mention, your hubby's posts on the marriage thread made my day. (Also, everything above the PS in this post is not about you, so don't worry.)

There are a couple of suspects, though. Read Moorluck's exchange with one of them.

I found it funny when your candidate went after the other candidate. :)

Vague enough?

Yes. Yes you should be in bed. Three hours of sleep before work? That's not good for you.

Hey Lynora. Sorry your kid kept you from getting sleep last night.

CH, glad you feel that way today.

I got mixed up with all those Xs and Ys, but the message I got was that it is now Open Season on Celestial Healer. Which is good, because Aberzombie doesn't appear to be as entertained by Nordstrom as I am.

Glad you decided to come back, CH. Personally I stay out of those threads as if my life depended on it. It's better that way. :)

Yeah... the only Off-Topic places I go are here and my PbPs. I figure it's better for all involved.

I also rarely post in other Threads 'cause usually whatever I have to say is ignored or shot down by high and mighty jackasses.

It's on, Crabgrass!

Mairkurion's Breakfast Hint of the Day:

In a hurry but want something yummy and energizing? Try having a slice of Italian cream cake with coffee for your breakfast. There's no better way to start the day and remember that your dad had a birthday than by having a left-over slice of Italian cream cake!

He's going to have to do better than that to be accused of sexual harassment in this thread.

You mean the avatar of the store that, much like Macys or J.C. Penny, caters to the old and decrepit, whereas my store cater's to the...uh...young and hip, and the undead and shuffling.
