I'm so sorry. The first one is really, really hard. (hugs) It does get better eventually.

Sorry, CJ. I'm right there with you--my mom passed away in 2005 on tomorrow's date, and every Christmas since then has not been the same.

<---lived in Japan, now lives near Japan. Dated two Japanese waitresses, who were friends, at the same time.

Although in the Western world, we have connected sushi with raw fish, sushi actually refers to the vinagered rice used to make it. In fact litterally translated sushi means rice with vinegar. Just one of the benefits of having dated a Japanese exchange student.

True dat.

Some sushi doesn't even have fish on it. Sushi

Sashimi is the raw fish. But read the wiki, because it's not just any raw fish, either: Sashimi

I love it. I also love Japanese exchange students.

Basashi

Raw horse meat.

I had an easy dinner.

Bag of frozen meatballs, add water and BBQ sauce, and cook in sauce pan.

Throw bag of "steamables" mixed vegetables in microwave.

Serve.

This will be dinner tomorrow too. :-)

Yep. It was very sad. I'm pretty much having that day. You know the one. The day that's clearly out to get you, and seems to be doing a really good job of it. :/

I like simple dinners. Not so much meatballs, but sounds like a good idea. :)

I am sorry to hear that, CJ.

moorluck, you have a great sense of musical taste. CJ sorry to hear about that. Lynora Start out with better hope for tomorrow, also there is this. You can thank moorluck for reminding me of this song.

lynora wrote:

Simple is good. Especially when clean up is easy.

The only problem with simple dinners is that occasionally one may get in a rut without getting a good variety of food and thus may not get healthy servings of important nutrients. But, "styeamable" mixed vegetables can work around that as well as pot pies.

:-)

I am really sorry to hear that. I don't know what I will do when my mother passes... :-(

My post got eaten!

You wants I shuld "have a werd" wit the day?

With that I am going to sleep, not feeling well and vry sleepy. :/

well, since my post was eaten...

@ Lynora

Yes, simple is good and especially so if it means little clean up.

@ Crimson Jester

I am very sorry to hear about your Mother. I do not know what I will do when my Mother passes away. :-(

Wow, everyone dissapeared. Is it B/C I wasn't here? It was B/C I wasn't here wasn't it?
Its ok, you can admit it. ;)

No but was around, so I tried to stir things up in other threads, with limited results. The student's finals really got me down. Ugh.

How're you tonight?

The Exchange

I am doing much better then I even expected but well we still have some time. Today would have been my 13th wedding anniversary to my first wife. All things considered the second one is going much better. Maybe that was why I was so grumpy over the weekend. Thank you all for your kind words.

Oh, man...it can be tough when there's a certain conjugation of difficult things...

The Exchange

Yeah I cant walk and chew gum properly right now and yet I still post.

Heh. You're one of the people who go back to some of my earliest memories of posting on Paizo.

Funny thing is I spent most of my early time lurking. I am glad I actually started to post, I have met some great people here.

With certain glaring exceptiong, right? A specific Silver Dragon? Right? ~grins and runs~

The Exchange

actually that includes silver dragons and leafy friends as well as some more chaotic types around.

~gives you a horrified look~ My God, man! You need to get your head examined!!!

;-P

I remember back in the day before I had aliases figured out, and I'd be confused when I was actually talking to Heathy or Sebastian or one of you guys' sock puppets. That would give me a great laugh at myself an hour or day later when I'd realize what'd happened. That was when I had no aliases and had just started posting. Sigh, the edition wars were young then.

~shakes my cane at you~ Why you young wipper snapper! In my day we did not have edition wars! Dragon Magazine and Dungeon Magazine were going strong and the Age of Worms AP had yet to be printed! We also walked 10 mile uphill both ways in 20 feet of snow to get our magazines! You young wipper snappers have it good today! spoiled kids! ~shakes my cane at you again~ AND GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

~grins~

I wasn't a part of the magazine scene. I looked at them some back in the 2e days when I'd hang out with a friend of mine who was an avid subscriber, and I'd look at them for ideas and mostly the illustrations. But they were not a part of my 3rd era experience. I discovered Paizo as they were coming to an end, and have picked some up along the way.

Come home...

Hi, Ambrosia! I hope the day finds you well. :)

Howdy Taig! Not sure if I'm well, but I'm feeling pretty good. Hope you have a good day too.

Made a December resolution to stay out of places that'll just torque me off. We'll see how long this one lasts. :)

Have you got 5 minutes, Taig? Would you have a peek at my SupaStah entry and tell me how lame it is? No hurry and no pressure, just feeling insecure about it (what's new).

I'd be happy to. I'm sure it's not lame at all. You have very clever ideas from what I've seen. :)

I just lurk in those threads. Sometimes they shock me (like the supposition that a homosexual character be restricted to a bard/actor, but should stay away from more "moral" classes), and sometimes they make me laugh out loud at the absurdity.

Heh. I had almost forgotten about that gem.

WTF??? Now that just makes me wanna make a gay Paladin... :/

hmmm... now what am I gonna do for Superstar this year?

The Exchange

A gay Paladin with really shiney armor?

I have had it examined, I was told "please take this with a grain of salt but you are the most sane person I have talked to."

I see no replies or expressions of disgust regarding my basashi post.

Hmmm, may have to resort to trickery.

A great picture of Heathansson at work. Check it out.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo

Morning thread mavens. Gotta roll my will saves again.

OK a 19 means I am safe.
