Okay, regarding the soup. I was watching a show on Food Network called "Chopped." Each round the chefs are given a set of ingredients that they have to work into the course they are making. In the appatizer round it was eel, peas and peaches. One of the chefs decided to make a soup and as his soup went to tasting that was what he said. The desert round was even more weird.

Dark Archive

Okay, any thoughts on this?

Yay Monday...

As punishment, I sentence you to watching an entire season of Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade (shudder). Also, you must wear a Christopher Kimball bowtie and a Nose Puppy replica of Heathy.

I'm sure you meant well, but Solnes and Moorluck seem to be doing an admirable job as parents. IANAParent, but my two nephews will similarly "act up"... and they are just being kids. S&M seem to be giving every spare scrap of time and attention to provide the best environment possible for their kids.

I don't mean to pile on you and I'm sure your intent was good, but please don't start "armchair parenting" two parents who are already doing an excellent job.

I stand behind my Bungie Cord suggestion.

I've wanted to buy a garage door opener and attach a harness to the cable. Then strap a nephew into the harness... oh bedtime/time out - push the remote and the kid is dragged back into their room and left suspended from the ceiling.

I love my nephews but some days they'll strip me of sanity faster than Far Realms kender.

If this really works for some people, I need to become an internet personality...

Meh...sanity is overrated.

Nope, it was nice, quiet, and uneventful. Pure bliss. Was your's good?

Oops, my bad, should have been David not you. Unless you are cooking up strange inedible soups too.

Actually, the judges said it was the best appetizer they had. Their only complaint was not enough eel.

And here I thought we'd talked you down...

actually, they didn't say it was edible: I assume best meant best from that horrendous show or best from a mix of those ingredients.

It was hectic, but good. Lots of meal planning, driving and shopping, but fun nonetheless :)

That mix of ingredients. The entree round wasn't too bad, it was Shrimp, oatmeal, arugala, and umaboshi. The desert round they were given saltine crackers, parsnips, chedder cheese, and honey.

Nothing wonky yet on my side of the intertubes...

Who picked the ingredients? Some proteans fresh out of the CIA?

Possibly. I have no idea who picks them.

Haven't noticed any wonkiness except for one post that didn't take.

The only thing parsnips need is buttah. M-mmm!

Way too many posts. What did I miss?

My new desk is in a heavily trafficked area. I don't like that - it makes it hard to Paizo.

It keeps booting my out when I try and add new posts. I'm not sure if it's my computer, or the boards.

Huh. I only had the one lost post.

I know what you mean.

At least I learned that I'm not being watched over--it's just his way of collaborating.

Oh, yeah. Good morning, everyone!

Mornin', badger. Glad to hear it's not spying.

Kids are so awesome this morning. The boy woke up and fixed us all breakfast, with no mess!! Arden cleaned her room, without having to be asked. And the baby is, as always, a joy.
It has been a perfect morning.

And the cat has decided she likes my bookshelf for a perch, where she can chew on my x-mas dolls. :)

Yay! So glad to hear that it's been a better morning. :)

You will be ok David, just remember that eating and sleeping is important for good test taking. Study anout 20 min before, that way it sticks with ya.

I slept wonderfully though, the boy came to bed with us and I was cuddled with him all night. And for once it seems he held still and didn't elbow and kick me. :)

So it just keeps on pouring. When my transmission went out we were on the freeway. It was bumper to bumper traffic, because of a five car pileup. One of the cars involved in the accident happened to be a friend of our family. A car crossed the median and plowed into them, and then three more cars hit them from behind. The husband, Dan had to be cut out of the car, but the wife, Lucy, seemed fine. Dan was thought to have had a fractured leg and ankle but to be otherwise fine. Lucy had been kept overnight for observation. However, yesterday their condition both worsened and now they are both in the ICU. Please keep them and their family in your prayers. These are very good people who deserve to have a long life with which to spoil their grandkids.
