Cannot search messageboards

For the past several days, I have been trying to find answers to some questions, and I wanted to make sure there weren't already threads that answered them, but every time I try to search the messageboards, I get a "Searching is temporarily unavailable" message. Has anyone else had this problem?

Ayup... repeatedly. I'm assuming it's just some tweak that Mr. Teter made to the boards when they were expecting the servers to implode on the 13th that, with Gen Con Madness and all, hasn't been reversed yet.

Google advanced search allows you to search within a specific website. I've been using this to search the boards... Gary is forced to shut down the searches on the site in high usage times, due to bandwidth issues.

Yep. Even though we're not getting quite the load we had on, say Thursday, we're still pretty busy. We'll be buffing up the hardware a bit tomorrow (assuming my order arrives on time), and hopefully we'll be able to return searching soon after that.

Hardware upgrade went well... Gary is working on searching. We also have some major improvements to searching in the works, but those will take a little bit longer....

This week they are moving to the new office, which will include moving the physical server machines, it could be that Gary and Ross are preparing for that.

The search service is being wonky. I've kicked it a few times in a row this morning, and it seems to be working now but I can't guarantee that it'll stay up over the next few days. Hopefully things will be better after we've moved the servers.
