Ah yes Paizocon(no suffix)..well as I said at the weekend the long campaign of attrition to convince the wife starts now though I have a horrible feeling getting there is about 5 years in the future.
If a bunch off us do go at least we can use here and the Paizocon UK boards to discuss things like best flight deals etc.

Well I had a suspiciously easy time of convincing my wife earlier this evening who said as long as I planned it in advance, she was fine with me going. So - Conception, here I come!
I might be on hand to DM some scenarios there, but I wasn't confident enough in my skills to offer my services for PaizoCon UK but I'll endeavour to get more practice in between now and then.

Brilliant. I'll soon be starting up a thread for recruiting GMs and players for Conception (and also Oddcon and Dragonmeet plus any other UK cons).
(Oh when it comes to Conception be ready to book on-site accommodation as soon as possible. Last year I believe it all went within a few minutes of being announced.)

One in Christchurch, which appears to be 5-10 minutes down the road. Just had a look on the website for Naish and it appears they are on 7 day bookings aside from the camping which is fully booked at the moment.
Hopefully see you there then.
Better return this thread to any more comments on PaizoCon UK 2010 for now ;-)

Yes! I'm off to the land of Nod anyway. Gotta figure out a semi-decent 1-on-1 adventure to try and get my wife into Pathfinder though.
I recently picked up a copy of expeditious retreat press'"One on One Adventures Compendium" that might be useful. Haven't tried it myself but is a set of 11 pathfinder compatible adventures for 1 player and 1 GM.

Just a quick note to thank everyone I met for making PaizconUk so good. There was a great atmosphere and the organisation was spot on. So well done for that.
Slot one: Rob Silk and the paper bag was a superb table, and the scenario with its dark themes and strange machine was matched by the quality of the summoning and our inquisitor. Simon, I'd game with you any day and well done for solving the puzzle.
Slot Two: Richard Pett's Hollow with Dazylar and Dangleberry again, I'll never forget convincing Mark to pinch the magical scythe only to see him thumped into the ground. Well done Richard for keeping it flowing so well.
Slot Three: I am so glad I didn't run this. 1.45am finish! I must be getting old. Never mind the thing that surprised me most was the way everyone got up next morning and managed a full days gaming.
Sunday: My chance to DM and I've got to mention Wintergreen, Rob and above all, Su for saving my bacon with a battlemat and pens. It was a good pair of adventures, Joshua, ranks high in the ones I have run because it really fitted the City of Kaer Maga. Thanks go to Andrew and Clare for helping me with the intricacies of the rules and thanks go to all my players for all the fun. It was a blast. Unfortunately everyone survived, A blemish which I hope to rectify next time.
Cheers

Sometimes a return to an event enjoyed finds it losing its sparkle somewhat, so I was really pleased that PaizoCon UK 2010 was as much fun as last year's.
Good to meet up with old chums and make some new acquaintances at table. I enjoyed all four games played and thank my DMs (Shawn and Peter) for the day's gaming each.
Shame I couldn't do Slot 3 - it sounded a lot of fun but I was significantly less tired on Day 2, so it had an advantage, especially as we decided to play up in Slot 5.
Good to meet Josh and personally thank him for all his hard work and creative effort on our behalf.
Finally, Dave you are a star organizer. I dread to think the hours you put in getting the event ready and hope you enjoyed it and have a well earned break now to recover; it looked to me to run smoothly and you even accommodated people moving tables to play at a more preferred tier - thank you. I still think it's an excellent venue too.
Finally - half price beer - I cannot remember paying so little for a pint.
Cheers

Yeah, I'd noticed them in a cursory search around the Interweb. Out of interest, what are the low level adventures like?
I suspect that my wife would prefer to go one of the classes that can heal so I might steer her towards a Cleric and go for a classic-style adventure with lots of undead and some intrigue. She says that if she's going to try it, she wants a mixed bag of dialogue and combat. Of course, she is an animal lover so perhaps a Druid could go quite well too.

The only disappointment was for Miss Feathers, who hoped for a more substantial form of exchange but maybe he'll get lucky at the next PaizoCon. Ah ha!
Never mind; I gather s/he got more than s/he could have hoped for, on the next table over!
And on that note; anyone care to comment on why my (almost-)namesake was a big, fat, bearded trannie? Has someone been talking?

I was so glad of the Scent ability, at that point.
How many dogs did we throw into that room? 4?All to be butchered or burnt to a crisp, along with a pair of 'friendly' lemures. And some of the PCs still got KO'd.
Nasty, but fun.

I've been talking about getting over to the US since some of the staff were at GenCon UK.
Unfortunately, whilst my cashflow at the moment is finally high enough that I might be able to consider it. This year was so much fun that I'm seriously eyeing OddCon and Conception at the very least, which is throwing the calculation off somewhat; you guys need to stop being so awesome :P

Can I use that last line as a reference for my regional coordinator application?
John Stout: I'll get back to you about the adventures. Just spending a couple of days not really thinking about or doing any roleplaying now.
Snorter: I never said Miss Feathers was fat! Are you saying that outfit makes the bum look big? (Hmm, just back from seeing Priscilla Queen of the Desert onstage and Miss Feathers comes to mind...)

Why thank you, first time out for the Inquisitor, and I really liked the dynamic of that group - made it most excellent fun. You were playing the "mortally wounded" dwarf?

Just to quote myself and cross-post from a short but to the point post I just made down in the OTD forum:
At this point I would just like to say a big *thanks* to everyone else from organisers to attendees who made PaizoCon UK this year such a big success. You are truly Good Things.

Question about the boons..as we can only use the stuff we have from our current chronicle and the previous two and most off us played two games after YoSL how are we expected to usethe boon we got.. is it counted as treasure of a sort and we have it till we use it or will we have to use it up in our next game or lose it?

Yee-hah!
Good thing, too, since I've got a friendly dryad in the woods, to crack the recipe on those elixirs of lurve.Gonna set me up a moonshine still, then take a keg to the big city and watch the fun.

I thought I'd let everyone know that I've now collected all the bids for the Chris Brecken Pathfinder Auction that we held. Thanks to all of you we raised £600 which we will be donating to Centrepoint, a charity that work with homeless young people.
Thank you UK Pathfinders for a magnificent effort and your generosity.
