This is my race, it's listed as LA + 3 but I think we can both agree it's adequate for LA + 4 lol. Feel free to suggest parts to trim away or tone down as well if you want to Nightflier. (Might be wise to trim deaththroes away, its good for an npc but just kind of dumb for a PC who might be hurting his party if he dies among them)
Also, it didn't have a listed glide speed, so I listed 30 feet for it.
Bozak Racial Traits
· +2 Strength, +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma. Bozaks are physically strong, naturally intelligent, and possess forceful personalities and a strong sense of self.
· Medium-size: As Medium-size creatures, bozak draconians have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
· Dragon: Bozaks are creatures of the dragon type. They are immune to sleep and paralysis effects. Bozak draconians have darkvision (60-foot range) and low-light vision.
· Bozak base speed is 30 feet.
· Racial Hit Dice: A bozak has 4d12 racial Hit Dice. A bozak character receives maximum hit points for his first bozak Hit Die, and rolls his other Hit Dice normally. He rolls all Hit Dice from class levels and does not automatically get maximum hit points on his first class level Hit Die. A bozak's racial Hit Dice also provide a +4 base attack bonus and saving throws of Fort +4, Ref +4, Will +4. Bozak draconians with class levels add their class attack and save bonuses to their racial attack bonus and saves.
· Bozak Skills: A bozak's dragon Hit Dice grant him skill points equal to (6 + Int modifier) times 4. Class skills for these skill points are Bluff, Diplomacy, Fly, Intimidate, Knowledge (arcane), Perception, and Spellcraft.
· Bozak Feats: A bozak's dragon Hit Dice grant him two feats. A bozak with class levels gains feats based on his total Hit Dice, as normal. Bozaks gain Simple Weapon Proficiency, Martial Weapon Proficiency (longsword, short sword, and long bow), Light Armor Proficiency, and Shield Proficiency as bonus feats.
· Natural Attacks: A bozak may use his claws and bite as natural weapons, making 2 claw attacks that deal 1d4 damage (plus Strength bonus). A bozak can attack with a weapon at his normal attack bonus and make one bite attack as a secondary attack (–5 penalty on the attack roll, and half Strength bonus on the damage roll).
· Natural Armor: Bozaks have thick, scaly flesh, which provides them a +8 natural armor bonus to AC.
· Spells: A bozak chooses known spells and casts as a 4th-level sorcerer. When a bozak advances in levels as a sorcerer, it adds its sorcerer levels to its innate spellcasting ability. For example, a bozak 9th-level sorcerer has the spells per day, spells known, and caster level of a 13th-level sorcerer. However, its base attack bonus, base save bonuses, and familiar, if any, are all determined by adding the appropriate features of a 9th-level sorcerer to the bozak's base statistics.
· Death Throe (Su): On the round that a bozak dies, its scaly flesh shrivels and crumbles from its bones in a cloud of dust. The bones immediately explode, dealing 1d6 points of damage to all within a 10-foot radius. Affected creatures can attempt a Reflex save (DC 14) for half damage. Bozaks can only be restored to life through the use of a resurrection, true resurrection or wish.
· Disease Immunity (Ex): Bozak draconians are immune to all diseases. spell.
· Gallop: Bozaks are exceptionally swift, and gain Run as a bonus feat.
· Glide (Ex): A bozak can use its wings to glide as an extraordinary ability, negating any damage from a fall of any height and allowing it to travel horizontally up to four times the vertical distance descended at a speed of 30 feet per move action.
· Inspired by Dragons (Ex): Draconians are drawn to dragons and revere them. When a dragon commander is within line of sight, or when entering a battle under the command of a dragon (in the chain of command), they receive a +1 morale bonus on all attacks and saving throws.
· Low Metabolism: Bozak draconians can survive on one-tenth the food and water it takes to sustain a human.
· Spell Resistance of 14 + class level.
· Automatic Language: Common. Bonus Languages: Goblin, Draconic, Ogre.
· Level Adjustment: +3.
Yeah, I know it's a freaky one, but it's not often I get the opportunity to try freaky races as PC's. The concept I've got for it is a lawful neutral guardsman type.
(Oh, one last thing. Inspired by Dragons was listed as evil but that seemed stupid so I cut it out, not like it's likely to happen anyway, and your likely to insert the evil back in. Also, instead of knowing Draconic they knew a setting specific language, and draconic made more sense anyway, so I slotted that in it's place.)

Hey, I happen to love dragonlance :) But I never get to play it anymore :(

Hey, I happen to love dragonlance :) But I never get to play it anymore :(I do like Dragonlance, but the Bozaks were the BGs back then lol!
According to the campaign setting: usuallyevil.
Also, it was rereleased in Dragon Magazine (315 I believe) and if I'm not mistaken it was also put on Crystal Keep in the races (but I don't know for sure because it's been a while since I lost that file and now I can't seem to get the races file to download properly)

Sorry, I shouldn't talk, considering who I'm playing, he he.

lol, glad I'm not playing a Paladin or I'd have to run through the whole temptation plot.

Kyrt, it's 3 am here, so I'm gonna look at your draconian in the morning. But Zissaren is half-dragon, so I think that your ability will work with him in the party.
Haha, woah, I hadn't expected that ability to come into play at all unless you inserted a dragon into an adventure once in a while (and perhaps occasionally requested I change sides, lawful neutral devoted to my dragon heritage bla bla lol)
Sweet ^^ I'll have to take a look at his (her?) bio and see if I can somehow work them in (and get permission of course)

kyrt-ryder wrote:Hey, I happen to love dragonlance :) But I never get to play it anymore :(Why don't you ever get to play it anymore?
Sadly I've only ever had one dragonlance DM. Everybody since then either dissed on it because of the 'metaplot' and refused to run it, or embraced the 'metaplot' to the point it was boring.
A game has to be live and free, if there's a whole bunch of important other stuff forcing my actions at every turn it's not really an rpg to me, more of a rail-based videogame (like the recent sonic the hedgehog games for example)

A few of my friends and I have tried a couple times. It was a "Bring the neutral dragons back to the world plot". It was a little railed, I have to say.

Man, this brings back memories for me, when Dragonlance first came out, the novels anyway, it was some of the best stuff out there. I never got to play ina Dragonlance campaign but I devoured all the 1E modules, it was just more than kill the dragon, loot the treasure stuff.
Oops I think I dated myself.

If Suny's planning to play this game and watching this thread, I was hoping to ask a small favor of you. You know that accent you post with so much? Think maybe you could tone it back a bit for this game once we start playing it? It gets extremely difficult to read sometimes you know?
If it were a part of one specific character I wouldn't even bring this up, but I've seen you do it with characters on other PbP's here, so that doesn't seem to be the case.
(Please don't be offended by this request, I think your accent is pretty creative and interesting, I've tried to use accents in PbP gaming myself with various levels of success, I understand the challenge and appreciate your effort. The accent you use just seems a bit... extreme if you understand what I'm saying? If you don't want to tone it back it's cool, I guess I'll learn to interpret it lol)

**LAUGHS** (^_^)
Sorry for that. You have given me a lot of fun and enjoyment with that post. :)
The reason Sunset and Suny get typed that way is I find it easier to separate them from the other characters I'm playing on the rest of the boards, and when trying to add posts quickly to multiple threads/games with the limited time that working allows, it's a quicker way for me to quickly get into the right characters head for the different threads.
*bows in apology to any other people who find translating either Sunset or Suny a difficult chore*
I was hoping to play a Satyxis pirate on another thread (The game hosted by Ekeebe)and her accent would have been as thick as Sunset's and Suny's. But such is not allowed, so I shall have to content my self with a Llaeless noble in exile *sighs* ^_~ In this thread/game the character will just be a 'normal' street fighter type brawler.
Again, thank you for the humor/pleasue you have given me, even if it may have been unintended. That a character can elicit any response I find wonderful.
Ahh, an' t'is a bugger I dun't get t' be speakin' all proper fer no one else here about in a'nuther thread. *pouts*
^_^

**random hugs** Nothing to be sorry for Sunset, you were roleplaying and having fun, that's what we're all here for. I'm glad I could bring a smile to your face and laughter to your lips ^^
Of course your 'allowed' to go with an accent, even if I had to translate lol, but thanks for listening.

Nightflier,
Does this thread relate to our game at all?
I'll just answer this. He was starting an evil campaign a while back in the same city as this game. It ended up dying because of a combination of lack of players and DM problems. Now that the DM's able to post again, someone decided to bump the thread.

In a way, yes. It's in the same city, but played on the dark side. The PCs are evil or neutral. You are welcome to create a character for that game as well. The rules are the same. The game will start in a day or so.
