I'm thinking of running Hangman's Noose in the middle of Edge of Anarchy to give my PCs some much needed XP and get them up to 3rd level before continuing the adventure. Has anyone else done this?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Here are some thoughts I have:
The Old Courthouse is located in Old Korvosa. Crimes occuring in Old Korvosa were held there as opposed to the Longacre Building in North Point. Ten years ago, it was shut down as per the adventure and its operations were folded into the Longacre Building.
Also, I'm thinking of replacing Cole with Grau, blending their backstories as needed.

It might work, depending heavily, nay essentially upon the backstories of your characters. If you can establish a common link 10 years in their past and a connection to the trial back then without massive rewrites, good luck. It might just sabotage the Ghaeden plot though... again, depnding upon your characters backstories.
Plus, Zellara's Harrow Deck might prove to be a potent resource in unravelling that plot all too easily.
Besides, methinks that "Hangman's Noose" works best with characters that are actually not yet "known" to each other, since the added element of possible suspicions about one another adds strongly to that adventure's flavour.

We ran it as a lead-in to the campaign. It's higher level than it says it is; easy to kill a whole party that way. But I liked the flavor.
My GM set it in a ruined town close to Korvosa. Several of the Noose NPCs ended up as recurring NPCs--those that didn't die, and the PCs worked pretty hard to keep them alive.
