So I've learned that I will have to step away from the computer longer than I thought. While I jump on my families computer whenever I drop by, it's a 10 mile ride here. 30 if you include taking me home and traveling back. To add on to it having to follow the doctor's orders I need to lose weight. Even though he's at a loss for what I can do since strecthing, bending, walking long distances, jumping, ect are out. Anyway so he's having me look at gyms in town to enroll in.

Since being away extendedly and with this it looks like I have to walk away from alot of my favorite pbps... sob... sob. Gah this sucks, but life over gaming right? RIGHT??

Actually, diabetes and poor diet makes sense. You'll see a big change when you start eating right and losing weight. While that may seem strange, high blood triglycerides caused by a bad diet or diabetes leads to fatty liver. Diabetes can be caused by being overweight.

It's a long, hard road, but if you believe you can do it, you can do it.

So, um, ya. Today was a total waste of ------- time. I got to go see my caring doctor today. He greeted me. Shook my hand. Looked me in my eyes and said...

"I GIVE UP ON YOU"

This was the start of my day, "I give up on you". In his medical opinion there's nothing more to be done. He's run every test he knows. Drawn all the blood he can. Done.

He went on to say he doesn't understand why in 6 years I haven't sought out medical help, but in the last two months I've pushed so hard for it. I looked at him and containing every ounce of rage I told him my story AGAIN!

That I had seen doctors before him. That they were glad to see me as long as I was paying them. But when I lost my job due to being unable to work I wasn't able to pay those fine doctors anymore, and with them it was cash or insurance only. No we'll bill you for it later. That I've fought with the local, state and federal government since then and that I was always refused. That he was the first doctor I've seen because I was finally approved for La Casa's indigent program. That the reason I'm pushing so hard is cause I'm tired... tired of the pain... tired of not having my life... tired of not doing what I want... tired of living off others... Not working...

What the in the hells do these people want from me?! Everyone I've seen, including him, all agree that I'm pain. They all agree about the tenderness and distension in my side. But in the end NOTHING! Why...

AWESOME NEWS, has to be since it made my mother and a few tear up, but first let me say iv's are full of suck.

Ok back to the awesome. I just recieved a letter from the hospital stating that, after 6 years of trying, I've been approved for the indigent fund. What does it mean? I qualify for a discount of 100% on qualifying balances.

Gotta say this made my day :)

+1 to that! GRATZ!!!

@ Lazaro

I don't know if you would consider this good news or not, but I just read your whole thread and I can say that it appears to me that your writing skills have improved dramatically from earlier in the thread. I hope that means things are better healthwise.

Also, have you tried or had any luck with the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation?

Without knowing the specifics regarding the New Mexico division I can tell you that most states have such an office and that (among other things) they specialize in retraining people who develop "disabilities" that limit their ability to work. This will often include paying for college education as well as supplying living assistance.

And it's DENIED! Just got a wonderful letter from Social Security. Based on my psyche eval. and a mediacal from my past doctor, the one who gave up on me, I've been denied SSI... grumble... grumble...

Anyone got the name of a good lawyer :p

Still on the brightside atleast I got my indigent.

-Thread necromancy-

What can I say this is one of the few places I feel comfortable blabbing about this stuff.

--------------------------------

So as of yesterday evening another blasted year has pass. That makes it offically 6 year, 1 day, 4hours :P

The good news atleast is that in this last year 1)I've applied and am receiving some medical care thanks to La Casa 2)Found a doctor who seems to care about getting me back on my feet 3)Though it's only a motel room I atleast have a place to my own. Even if I have to come over and use my parents computer from time to time.

Of course the bad is that Collywobbles still remains and I'm still not working. I am actively trying to appeal my SSI ruling so I can try and save up for medical procedures I need.

Best news of all, though I'm beyond nervous or scared, I received a letter from UNM stating that I'm to report to Albuquerque on October 12th for both an EGD and COL :(. So hopefully with this we'll finally be able to figure out just what Colly is and why there is so much pain.

Fortunatly we're, I conviced the lady friend to go up with me, going up during the last days of the Balloon Fiesta! So we should have some fun while we're there.

Good luck! We are all pulling for you!

Did you ask the doctor about the possibility of an undiagnosed and untreated stroke?

The Exchange

I've just read your thread, and I while I can't imagine the pain and heartache you've had with doctors who can't help, and the legal system, I'm quite glad that you've got your own place now, and that things are finally starting to turn around. Maybe there's some way to profit from all this, if not financially, then spiritually at least.

I'm alive!!! Well if that accounts for anything :P

Well tests are done for now. The EGD came back with nothing abnormal. The COL on the other hand was aborted. Seems they couldn't complete for do to certain things.

So here's where I sit. I have an abdoman and back that still kills me, and I have to schedule a new exam here in town. I won't say what, mostly cause I've done it before and it's not fun, but let's say it involves a certain element with the atomic number 56 :(

Other than feeling like a couple of MAC trucks flattened me, the week was good. I was able to attend the Balloon Fiesta, went with my lady friend to the Hard Rock for Rock the Ink, and got to see the Alb. aquarium.
