Wesley: Alright Already!

I take ONE day off and come back to all this?! Sheesh! I can't help but think that a certain Dr. Jacobs put you all up to this, but alright you harpies! I know James touched on a few of these topics already, but here's what I've got:

From: Wesley! We want an article on the First World and the Fey

Watcher wrote:
...Great time and place for a good look at the First World, and the Fey themselves.

Granted! Look for an detailed look into the First World come summer 2010.

From: Wesley! We want an article about dead gods

Montalve wrote:
It would be interesting to know more about dead gods

Sean's gods articles are tracked out for years to come, and it just doesn't make sense to have him divert to talk about dead gods when there's still deities in our core pantheon to discuss. That being said, dead gods are pretty cool. An article like this would have to fit with the content of an Adventure Path, though. Fortunately, James and I just batted around some ideas that might work with this. In other words, expect an article on at least one, but probably more, of the dead gods of Golarion in late 2010 early 2011.

From: Wesley! We want more articles about your F.

Who said it stands for anything? Maybe it's what I'm used to hearing from my freelancers. Maybe it's an old algebra grade that continues to haunt me. Maybe it's my petition for a new Roman numeral. The world may never know. And if you do know, and you tell, I'll cut ya. }:P

I'm not going to lie he paid us all in gold.

WHO TOLD YOU?

well in my case i put my case for James to judge it, one article aboput most or all dead gods interested him (not single dead god article, a shame), then I went to pest Sean K Reynolds about him writing this... and he said you take the choices in what is offered... he just write it...

sooo that is how... the "Wesley we want " began :P

and considering we are already on this...

so outside an adventure... when do we get more info on Ustalav?? :D

As someone with a more than passing interest in the First World, I wholeheartedly approve. :-]

Only when they're panicked. :-)

You too? :-[

Oooh. I vote for 70!

I suspect I know, but rather than alienate an editor I may work with sometime, I'll refrain from speculation.

The "F" stands for "feisty."

Also, don't call him Wesley, call him Wes. When we call him Wesley he starts going all Princess Bride on us.

HA! I thought he'd be going all "Dilythium Crystals" on ya...

He told me it was for "Frisky". *pout*

I will sign that petition, sir!

Those Romans have really dropped the ball on new numerals. It's been like, what, two thousand years or so since the last one?

It is true that us freelancers can be dumb panicky animals, especially when we're out of ideas and the deadline is tomorrow, but I personally would never drop the F-bomb on my editor!

In other words, F. Wesley Schneider is not responsible for my incompetence!

I always thought the F was back from his porno days, the name he never goes by cause he was so famous back then.

Nah. It just shows his true "Stripes"...hence, the reason he'd have to "cut ya" if you were to divulge it. ;-)

HA!

I remember at last GenCon when you had 'Jacobs Envy' because you were the "Forgottten Editor".

Dr. Jacobs' real plan was to tell us all just how much work you actually do. For two years we've been whining to him about articles and material that have always been under your purview.

But now we know.

It could be what he hears from freelancers, but only because he's caught them up to no good.

F! Wesley Schneider -- run!

KaeYoss. Because he's that big a fan. It's like those families in L5R being named after their founders (So if Bayushi Ameiko did something really great and the emperor wanted to honour her, he would allow her to found the Ameiko family and you#d have Ameiko Kaedes and Ameiko Aromoros and so on).

He worships me so much he had to take my nick as middle name.

He said he particularly liked my humility and lucid character.

The answer is in the intro to Pathfinder AP #25.

You know, if the world is ending and all, can we have all kinds of crazy releases during 2012? Oh, and if y'all could ship early in the month of December that year, it might be helpful.

Hey Wes,

After reading another thread (Future of Paizo), I came to realize that I might have been insensitive in my joking.

Actually James never mentioned you. We did joke about this last GenCon. However, it was really the recent KQ interview with you that explained your job duties and responsibilities.. and division of labor that prompted me to join in with asking you for stuff.

No disrespect was intended.

I think it's safe to say that fans are bugging you directly because we recognize the importance of your role in shaping the APs and Pathfinder overall product lines. Basically, 'we wouldn't tease if we didn't like you.'

In any case, I have assumed it was taken in good spirits, this post is 'just in case.'
