So - according to the BETA rules on the new polymorphing - changing into most forms meld equipment and you cannot cast spells w/ Material Components.
Does Eschew materials help get around that restriction - so long as material components cost less than a gold.
And does "Less than a gold piece" mean any material component that does not list a cost?
Any reason why this would make for a broken mechanic and loop hole?

If you have a spell with the Still Spell and Silent Spell metamagic feats applied and you have Eschew Materials then you can cast without actually doing anything other than concentrating.
And yes only material components with a listed cost would still be required with Eschew Materials.

It basicaly makes it into a spell-like ability, just don't forget that AoO for casting still apply (same for spell-like).
You can also counter spell with it still, which is important since you can't counter spell with a spell-like ability.
