Glad to see people checking in over here as well, though just so you know... the play thread is up! =]
And Faysal, don't think that way! Think positive, positive thoughts!
I'm confident about this group's success though, most of you have relatively high AC scores. :D
That might just be my positive thinking :) But I have to go off to the play thread and get this beast moving!

DM Kin |

We'll one of us two is likely to be the first :D - but I'd rather aim for none!
That's the spirit! :D
I'm reading and rereading the adventure path to familiarize myself with it - and there are some moments I'm positively drooling to put you guys through.
Good moments. I promise. :3

If Almah acts like this all the time, there may be issue. Gregory is all for the team but respect is earned and integral, Almah hasn't earned anything yet.
Also, Gregory isn't a blind follower, he will evaluate the situation and go from there. As to the current scenario, there appears to be no one in immediate danger and it's just a wagon as far as he knows. It'll slow things down but nothing that will harm others, ideally.

Gregory Thrune |

To Chance:
If the character interpreted it as a command, then fine.
If the player did, that was not the intent.
Gregory knows the best source of water for such things is usually magical and he's trying to solve the situation as quickly as possible. Gregory "suggested" the use of the spells and a way he felt would best extinguish the blaze.
Just to ensure no miscommunications

It might also have been Almah's orders that made Chance uneasy. Either way we got a mega-post as a reward! Woot us.

I hope you all don't mind that I'm posting so frequently and talking so unformally, I just like to chat with my players and not be the almighty and emotionless DM hovering over the game all the time. ;D
Why should we mind? I've never heard of some GM-player demarcation where the relationship must be formal! We're all playing the same game, let's have fun while doing it!

Gregory Thrune |

I like the consistent posting, it adds story I feel; with long breaks there is a lethargy and such things harm the game. Life happens so things may not go accordingly but adapt and overcome.
I do prefer large posts, it gives much more to discuss and can lead the game for a bit without anything else from the DM.
I would say keep the descriptions vivid, I do so in my own games and it always adds to the atmosphere and depth of the game. You're doing well with them thus far.

DM Kin |

:D
Good to hear then. Yeah, I prefer long posts as well, if not only for the descriptiveness of it all.
And that's okay if you'll be away this weekend Jakari, the only requirement is to share some fun stories when you get back! Have fun! =]
I'll have to agree with you Chance, it does increase the odds. This party deserves a shot at finishing an adventure. :3

Gregory Thrune |

To Jakari:
Along with stories, I would like some pictures/video or links. I've not attended any Con and am curious about the activities.
Also, if you're in the UK, I am interested in visiting at some point, I would like firsthand knowledge before such a trip.
"Let's see what we can do"

Jakari |

I'll see about taking some pictures then... and maybe a video if you're lucky. I'm sure some pictures will turn up on the PaizoCon UK website. It's going to be a pretty small Con this year, so I don't think there's going to be many activities beyond gaming.
What sort of first hand information are you looking for? I'd recommend planning your trip in the summer, otherwise you're likely to get rained on... and even in summer it's not entirely unlikely.

Gregory Thrune |

well, too late. I can re-roll using invisible castle or when that doesn't work (my other media device), the Wizards website dice roller.
Do the rolls still stand, as I was not aware of your preference until now?
I had been mixing the rolls, online and real life and I believe I let it be known.
I prefer actual dice rolls. I know people cheat, for why though? It's a game, sometimes you get it and sometimes you don't.

I would request, if feasible, an online conference via whatever messenger service or other means are available.
It would certainly speed gameplay and allow for better interaction. If notes were taken as to character actions, they could be posted as well, to keep the flow of information updated.
Just a thought. I currently do so with friends overseas, it works for us.

DM Kin |

I'm flexible about die rolls as well, IC when you can, but if you want not to use it, then that's alright too.
As for the online conference, you mean for the game session, correct? I play in one at the moment, and yes it does speed up the progress of the game considerably. But oftentimes detail is lost, and not everyone can make it to one meeting online. Or am I interpreting your message incorrectly? I tend to do that, sorry. D:
It's not out of the question though, I've been thinking about doing that for a long while.

Chance LOF |

Ok, I will check out Invisible Castle. If Chance needs to make a roll that I forgot to post, you may roll for him, DM Kin.
I've been to Origins twice and a regional con (Dragonflight- Seattle, Wa) several times. For the most part they are great fun, tiring, but great fun. You can try new games, or play an old game you haven't played in forever. Good times.
I would be willing to try a online conference session. However, I have no experience with it and have no software for it on my computer.

Gregory Thrune |

To Chance:
I use Yahoo and a mic, DM my buddies overseas, no issues except for microphones can step on each other. We use a mixture of typing and talking, often I'll run one guy in his own window typing back and forth while talking to the other guy, keeps things rolling.
I'll look up some specifics if you wish for assistance.
To DM Kin:

DM Kin |

Chance, I just had him investigate the closest information source as him investigating all of them would make for too long a post and rob the others of the same opportunity. Hope you don't mind. ^^
By the way, you guys can return to Almah anytime with a verdict. So after you all confer and choose a culprit, just return to her wagon and call for her.
EDIT: Dang it! The endless hunger of the Paizo messageboards has eaten my mega-post. Sorry if you read this before I manage to rewrite it. D:

Chance LOF |

Yeah, that's fine. I want to be a team player, even if my character isn't much of one. Mostly, I want to sense motive on everyone to try and get a "read" on who might be hiding something.
What race is Garundi?
Gerr;
How do you want to handle our mutual background? I am assuming we grew up together as "brothers", even if we aren't related by blood.

Jakari |

I'm back! I had a great time at PaizoCon UK, but I'm a little bit tired at the moment, so I hope you don't mind if I wait until tomorrow before going into the juicy details ;D.
What race is Garundi?
The Garundi would be a Human ethnicity... They're found pretty much everywhere as they tend to travel a lot before settling down somewhere, but they're originally from the southern reaches of the Garund continent.

Ok, how blatant are you going to get with this Dashki guy being suspect, or have some twist to where it was supposed to be assumed as being Dashki but it's not.
I don't know by experience, but I'm guessing in a public location with someone who may not be thoroughly liked they would be regarded as the chief suspect. Dashki seems to fit the role well. He also could be a set up so we're put off course or maybe an accomplice. There's always the off-chance that we're doing a good job questioning people too :)

DM Kin |

Couldn't have said it better myself!
And also, you guys are getting very lucky diplomacy DM rolls.
D:/:D?
But there is definitely something more to him being the obvious choice, I'll let that slip for you guys. He's just a really, really sketchy guy that everyone suspected was dangerous even before the fire. Now everyone is capatalizing on it. Perhaps one of the people blaming him... is actually the culprit...
Or maybe Dashki really is the culprit.
Or maybe someone else is the culprit.
Or maybe Dashki is.
Or maybe someone else is.
I'll let you linger on that. ;D

Jakari |

The evidence does seem to point towards Dashki at the moment, but we've not spoken to everyone yet... there's still the old man with the weird green liquid and the Pactmaster guards.
I didn't manage to get any pictures of the con (my battery went dead and I didn't pack the charger :$), but there were a couple of people taking pictures with expensive looking cameras who promised me they were going to upload them to the website.
As you probably know already, Nic Logue was nowhere to be seen and Richard Pett denies all knowledge of the situation... all I have to say about that, is the curry on Friday night did taste a bit 'gamey'...

DM Kin |

Indeed, I am Chance. He didn't notice anything awry, so I didn't add anything in concerning that. I can next time if you want to. =]
I've had a very hectic day today, so I'm sorry I haven't had an opportunity to reply just yet. I'll write up a response after a few hours work, and hopefully Faysal can get in a post before I get back.

Gregory Thrune |

Gregory is interested in this man, his nervous tics, there is a motive that Dashki has yet to reveal; such is Gregory's thinking. Also, if this guy knows about gnolls, Gregory will plumb the depths of his knowledge for all usable information. Gregory suspects, 99%, that Kelmarane is along the way, any advantage could be needed.
I enjoy RP and can do this for awhile. If you wish me to cease my actions, tell me.
