Still no save on Dirge of Doom?

General Discussion (Prerelease)

I was wondering if anyone had heard whether there was still no
save for the Dirge of Doom (8th level bard song effect) in the final version of Pathfinder?

Does anyone see this as overpowered? just right? not that big a deal?

Thanks

No big deal. Lots of things allow no save.

The 30' radius and the need to stay inside that range to maintain the effect balance the ability without the need for an additional save.

It makes it a good but tactically situational ability.

My main concern is not that it doesn't allow a Save.
The real problem (IMHO) is that it inflicts a status which is cumulative with itself (Shaken) without allowing a Save.

The power doesn't state (as some other powers or spells do) that it doesn't work on creature who are already Shaken; by RAW, a creature who is already Shaken would become Frightened, and a creature who is already Frightened would become Panicked. And Dirge of Doom does inflict the Shaken condition without a Save...

Which is cool if you can find someone to help you stack it - dazzling display anyone? Take a read through the Fear. "What's up with that stuff?" thread.
